He wrapped his arms tightly around her, holding her in place as his lips pressed against hers. As their bodies touched, a wave of intense heat raced through her, filling her with warmth. As the feeling grew, she began to melt.

His hand moved slowly, touching her breast lightly through her dress.

Lyla pushed him back, angrily wiping her tears away. "Leave me alone! What kind of man are you doing this while I tried to kill you?!"

Tristan looked confused, but managed to hold back a smile.

"That's right, you tried to kill me, didn't you?" He said sarcastically, though the smirk quickly disappeared when he saw the hurt expression on her face.

She stared at him with pure contempt, her hands curling into tight fists. "You're an animal! I can't believe you'd even consider having sex with me, let alone wanting me to...to..."

A wave of relief washed over her as she realized what she was about to say.
