Chapitre 257: Chapter 257: A Windrunner Who Doesn't Face Challenges Head-On Isn't a Good Warrior

Grom Hellscream was awe-inspiring and domineering.

Whether it was his signature roar or his courage, his unmatched ferocity in battle was unparalleled.

Describing Grom's dominance as tearing lions apart with bare hands or going undefeated in countless battles would still be an understatement for the one Duke called "Roaring Lord" before crossing over.

If one had to sum up Grom's martial prowess in a single phrase, it would be — dismantling a mech with bare hands!

This story begins with Grom's father, Golmash Hellscream, whom Duke called "Roaring Grandfather."

Golmash was the chieftain of the Warsong clan. In his lifetime, he was a formidable warrior known as the Giant Butcher, and few orcs could command the respect of their clan and strike fear into their enemies like he did.

During an excursion, Golmash and his clan encountered a colossal Gronn, leading to an intense battle.

What is a Gronn? It is a one-eyed, monstrous creature, two or three times taller than an ogre.

Duke believed that the Cyclops of ancient Greece could be the prototype for this creature called Gronn.

In the fierce battle, Golmash was caught by the Gronn. As his body was crushed by the creature's razor-sharp maw, he endured the excruciating pain and, with his dying breath, plunged his battle-axe, Gorehowl, into the Gronn's eye. The Gronn died first as they both fell.

After this battle, Gorehowl's fame spread far and wide, becoming a symbol of the Warsong chieftain.

Golmash ultimately won the Hellscream surname for his family.

The Hellscream family was also skilled in battling massive creatures.

For example, in this instance, a large battleship was dismantled by Grom in just a few moves.

Were all the Horde's heroes monsters?

Although Duke wanted to send Lothar, the most powerful warrior on his side, and Uther, who had just arrived last night, to fight Grom in three hundred rounds, the problem was that this was a naval battle.

Could Lothar and Uther, clad in full armor, win?

Don't be ridiculous. If they drowned two future powerful figures because of this reason, Duke would never forgive himself.

Just as Uther was about to step forward with a spirit of self-sacrifice, Duke spoke up: "Hey, Alleria, Sylvanas, can you hear me?"

Echoes came from the wind.

"Alleria awaits the Vice Commander's orders."

"Oh, finally, something exciting, huh?"

Duke cleared his throat: "I want you two sisters to deal with the orc chieftain with the onion hairstyle who just dismantled our battleship. Yes, the one with the blood-red hooked nose ax. His name is Grom Hellscream, a super-strong warrior in the Horde. Be extremely cautious!"

"We will take him down," Alleria replied, still composed.

"Yo, sis! Let's not just kill the enemies, let's see who can kill more chieftains, huh?"

This time, a voice carried by the wind reached Duke's ears alone. He felt enormous pressure dealing with the unpredictable Queen Sylvanas.

Unable to restrain himself, Uther stepped forward, "Deputy Commander, Uther and the Knights of the Silver Hand request to join the battle."

Duke glanced at the much older Uther, "I know your chivalrous spirit can't bear to let women fight for you. But I must tell you—first, don't underestimate the Windrunner sisters; second, unless you're adept at swimming in armor, leave it to the sisters."

Uther felt stung by Duke's words, but as an honorable paladin, he knew Duke wasn't belittling him or the Silver Hand. Like the other Marshals, however, Uther wondered how Duke seemed to know their abilities and specialties so well.

From the outset of the Southshore battle, Duke's troop deployments were flawless. He knew the enemy and his own forces equally well.

The question was, how could Duke have such insight without even inspecting their troops?

Of course, Duke had no time to explain, nor could he; he deployed them based on who was more formidable in history...

Regardless, heroes possessed astonishing destructive power.

Grom Hellscream, another hero, had dismantled five battleships with Gorehowl by the time the Windrunner sisters arrived.

Despite facing seemingly delicate women, Grom didn't let down his guard.

Instead, his instinctual sensing of strong opponents made him extremely tense.

Their agility, effortlessly leaping between transport ships and floating debris, was beyond Grom's imagination.

Grom Hellscream's disgust was instinctual, the result of the orcs' unique aesthetic tastes. The stunning Windrunner sisters, goddess-like in human eyes, appeared as feeble weaklings to the orcs who favored wide shoulders, thick waists, and massive hips.

Grom's disdainful gaze displeased Archmage Alleria and Queen Sylvanas.

"Ha!" Six nostrils, three heroes, all snorted disdainfully.

This was a peculiar misunderstanding.

Nevertheless, only dead enemies were good enemies. The same logic applied across worlds. Language barriers eliminated the need for greetings; the Windrunner sisters engaged Grom directly.

Moving like waves, their rapid figures almost invisible to the naked eye, the sisters flanked Grom, showering him with a barrage of arrows while closing in.

Grom snatched a stack of shields from the ship's railing, his enormous strength easily snapping the ropes securing them. Originally intended for boarding battles, the five or six shields were transformed into deadly projectiles by Grom's brutal throw.

Such a crude throw couldn't hit its target, of course.

Sylvanas stepped onto the airborne shields, gracefully crossing the distance.

Within ten seconds, Grom was struck by at least 30 arrows.

Despite appearing bloodied and battered, the Windrunner sisters discovered that none of their arrows had penetrated Grom's muscles or reached his internal organs. The arrows aimed at Grom's vital points were either blocked or dodged.

As the sisters closed within five meters of Grom, he counterattacked.

A thunderous roar, like a shockwave, spread across the sinking ship, causing both sisters to shudder.

In an instant, the wooden planks beneath Grom disintegrated, and he leaped into a swift strike towards Sylvanas. ...
