Chapitre 85: Movement not my own?

It had been another week since the display, the girl hadn't been seen again and words went around she was sent home.

At least for a while, her parents had come and made a scene but everything was kept under thight grasps.

He hadn't been capable of entering the director's office, unfortunately.

What he did find out however was that the guy who unlocked the sudden transportation mission was the son of the headmaster...director..whatever.

A third year, Deamon, one of the few that is allowed to go as he pleases.

Normally that was only allowed when one entered their last year and even then everything needed to be documented.

But that wasn't the weird thing, it was said that neither ,son or father, had a last name.

Weird, in society that was a rather necessary thing.

Not the only secretive thing about them, there were even very few moments that they appeared for longer than an hour.

Adrian couldn't wait to find out more about the other, he needed to as the guy was a

~protaganist~.

Just looking at him caused him to be transported away, what else could he unlock and would there be others?

Would they all have the same attitude, morals and so on.

Ot would it be devided?

It only said protagonist, not evil or good.

One would assume good but Adrian couldn't risk not covering all the tracks.

Would Deamon be an example of all, meaning could all else be based on him?

It would make things easier for him but he highly doubted that would ever be the case.

His mind was noisy, the surroundings were noise and overwhelming his senses.

It was like they actively went out of their way to make as much noise as they could in one evening to then start again the next.

Clearly he had been unprepared for the noise that came with attending a school.

In the castle every room had it's necessary charms that just needed to be switched on.

Once he had done that, left his parents in total despair as they thought he was gone.

As he was three at that time, he could understand why they would think that, there was no way he could reach that high.

Which he couldn't, he stood on a stool, which was standing on a table which In turn had been shoved all the way to the wall

Fun times!

Chuckling at the memory, he started reminiscing with dazed eyes as he gazed at the stars.

They where bright, as if alive and twinkling at his thoughts in enjoyment.

The moon half full above him as he relaxed more than he intended in his favorite branch, a warm feeling flooding him as his eyes drooped.

Days of being on edge hadn't left him much sleep, despite himself he still drifted to sleep, a breeze lulling him in it's warmth embrace.

Only to be awakened by the rustling of clothes and more importantly the dripping of blood.

Eyes snapping, his hunger showing with the brim of redness appearing, he restrained himself

Yawning at the rude awakening, he watched.

It seemed...to be a student, one of the older ones but hurt.

Left upper cut that was wrapped tightly with her hand, colouring red accordingly.

Her braid, mid waist raven hair and swishing left and right distracted him but not enough that he didn't see the twinge of green, evil magic leaking from the ground.

Now more on edge than ever, he felt like a cat watching from a tree, as he weighted his options.

He could stay, pretend he didn't know that familiar magic. One that Aethel had sternly warned him away as it was vile, unnatural and could bring one miles away from the destiny awaiting him or her.

Adrian had no idee what he meant with the last part but Aethelstan had his secrets.

The death of his son seemed to be one of the lesser things he didn't mind sharing, as if it was just there, just happened.

Adrian had never asked why, he was not one to judge the other.

The girl however? Was something else.

Not rich, her shoes were wet, drenched by running and was already peeling on the side from the rough use.

Adrian was forever grateful to the spell changing the weather around him, so caring for it's students the spell would only let it rain when every student was inside.

Unless someone wanted it to rain that is, it adapted itself the the mind of those in it.

Learning the mechanics were still on his to do list, just like a dozen other things.

Uniform, different than his which was given, suited her.

Shining emblem on it catching his attention, the symbol of the captain of the class it seemed.

Slightly he wondered how that went. Nobles and arrogant stuck ups seemed to be part of the school experience and ,no doubt about it, they didn't agree easily.

She wasn't exactly pale yet neither did she looked as if she wasted every hour outside in the burning sun.

Neither had he, teacher carefully kept him away most of the time, only a week ago did he slacken the hold.

Maybe he finally saw that he was a child.

His other option was jumping down, introducing himself and gaining knowledge.

She did not strike him as a person who would be scared of him, Afterall he was literally an untraining baby....judging by her rippling muscles.

Before he started commenting in how cool she looked especially considering he spear steady on her back, he carefully searched around.

There seemed to be no one else, just the two of them within their victinity but that could change rapidly.

Deciding to go for it he jumped, slowing his descend to the floor with the use of wind magic.

By the time he landed, she stood in a way a feral cat would, hand ready and spear in steady in it.

His natural instinct brought his eyes to the now even more dripping blood, his senses tingling with anticipation at what could be his first real meal.

Forcings his eyes away, no doubt red as hell, his mouth opened instead.

''You should do something about that, there is a vile magic corroding the inside. If you don't get rid of it, you will lose your arm."

She would lose more than that, Aethel's core still wasn't the old one because of that magic.

''What so you know?!"

Harsh type huh? No wonder, the risk of losing an arm would be catastrophic.

''...merely a small encounter.''

Adrian's stumbled, something in his mind pushing him forward, towards the wound.

''Maybe I can help?''

He didn't know what was happening, frowning as his hand reached out and mouth formed words on their own.

''Just a small touch with my fingers, if I do something you don't like, you can kill me.''

She did not, watching the struggling fingers come closer, his own resistance useless as the force took control.

Before long fingers coloured deep red as they got pushed into the wound.

The girl almost reacting until green threads smoothly waved around the two fingers.

With widened eyes he could only watch as it left her and came right towards him.

Closer to his eyes, moving like a snake in glee before with a groan and thud to the ground it made contact with his head.

Green vile magic was now inside of him but ,in the seconds that he had crashed against the tree, he couldn't find any trace of it.

It had gone inside his body but there wasn't a single trace to be found of it now?

''Are yo-"

''I knew you were here.''
