"What are you doing...?"

Under a frown, my whole body freezes. The warmth of the man wraps me, yet I don't feel warm and loved. Rather, the disgust crawls up to my throat. The man who killed me, betrayed me and took everything from me, is hugging me tightly. Should I stab him right here?

No, it will be too much for Leo to handle. "Forget what I said earlier, Verena" Brushing my thoughts away, a whisper permeates into my ears. Huh? What he said earlier? Didn't we talk more than one sentence before? How am I supposed to recall? Is he alright even? 

"What?" I voice. The frown slowly tightens to express my annoyance. "You don't have to bring Nesta back to me. Just take the clan. I am offering it into your hands as gratitude for protecting my son" The words from the man drag me into silence. My eyes widen slightly.
