"You promise that?" Garry asked, holding her cheeks and forcing her to raise her head so that he met her eyes, "after this ends, you are going to share my bed?"

There was desperation in his voice, something that made her stomach churning and she nodded… forgetting the promises she had made to herself. She was going to ignore him when they will take divorce but she was still his wife and tonight, she was going to live with this truth.

But he did not move. He took no initiative to take her to their room.

"Elowen is with Vincent in his room. They are kissing." he whispered slowly leaning to her. His lips almost kissed her ears and a shiver ran down her spine.

"How.. Do you know?" even if he had sent someone to keep an eye on the couple. She did not see any knight to come and report to him. But the conviction in his voice did not stem from a doubt but reality as if he had seen it with his own eyes.
