Chapitre 299: Love Her?

"Or worse.. What if they believed it and later.. She was found with my brother?" Ana gasped again in fear when Garrison shrugged. 

"What was Vincent thinking? Fool! daft." She cursed when Garrison wanted to remind her that fool and daft were the same but he just smiled, basking in the moment when she was cursing her maiden family, not him. Would he be called deranged if he said that he was elated about it.

But his eyes caught the roads. The dark woods could not be seen through easily but he could feel that someone was following them from the start.

The hooves of the horses did not belong to his carriage but he could not hear the rattle of wheels and though he would have believed that it was just a random passerby in the dark woods since many had left the palace at night, he knew there was only a single horsemen and he was coming for them.
