Severed tentacles writhed on the ground, their lively movements unabated. The gushing blue blood soon ceased, and from the severed ends, new tentacles emerged, twisting and coiling around Jonathan's leg.
The tentacles tightened swiftly, their barbs scraping against the exoskeleton armor, emitting an unbearable screeching noise.
The two-headed monster's tentacles were stronger than any Xenobiotics creature Jonathan had ever encountered. They squeezed the exoskeleton, causing a slight deformation in the metal components that pressed against his leg.
Jonathan stumbled, nearly losing his balance. He plunged his retractable knife into the floor to steady himself. Fox quickly wrapped an arm around Jonathan's waist to prevent the creature from dragging him away.
A knife cut through the tentacle coiled around Jonathan's leg, and blue blood stained the armor. "At least it's not corrosive," he sighed in relief.
