If he had been uncertain about pursuing his cure before, Cargan knew now that he'd do all it takes to have it. The blue-haired one, he wasn't going to let go of her.

Only Anya and Celio knew of her presence in his room. They'd all agreed to let keep it confidential. Who had gone behind his back within the space of that moment to inform Fionn of her presence?

Hell, no. None of Anya and Celio could ever do that. Anya had her devotion to the Heavens and Celio had his to him. None of them could betray him.

One thing was for sure though; that someone, a mole was in his palace. A very good one at that. One that had skillfully eavesdropped on their conversation and had sold it out to Fionn.

The thought that Fionn had also planted spies in his High House was so infuriating for Cargan. But then again, he had also done the same. He'd been expecting it too.
