Afina's face was cringed in a patent pretentious bafflement.

"What vow?" she blurted as though she had no idea what he meant.

Next time, she would reprimand herself before she made careless vows. She had gotten herself in trouble as it seems.

His humorous tilting of head irritated her as he said, "Do I need to spell it out to you—" Then, he mimicked the tone of the pork vendor. "Ms. Blue?" he smirked.

The fact that there was always a witting smile on his face when he talked to her– and displayed his nonchantlness would forever annoy her patience.

"I made no vows. I only made a statement." Afina said, trying to sound indifferent about his jeers.

He brought her things up in the air and dangled them. "Those statements of yours—" he paused looked at her, then winked. "Ms. Blue, has now become a criterion to be met in order to retrieve your high house quilt and this."
