Arthur and Val hunted the Hook Beak Sprinter birds for a while, as they explored the Ocher plains.

Since Arthur had already eliminated the Rock Stomping Wild Stallion, they could go much farther than he had last time.

"So where is the Field Boss?" Val asked as she sat down on a broken log.

She had just killed off three more Hook Beak Sprinter birds for a total of twenty seven of them. Arthur on the other hand had killed about forty two of them.

It was a decently large number and Arthur had also stored them in his cape. Val did notice the corpses disappearing, but she didn't ask much. She had already understood that there were secrets that Arthur was still keeping and it was not right to speak about them.

Arthur had also intentionally done this, as he wanted to slowly reveal more to her. That way he would know how much she could be trusted.

And just as he had thought, she didn't question him and took it in the stride.
