This bedroom witnessed her man growing up from a helpless child to a reliable adult.

Slowly stepping from the door, Liliana cast her eyes to the blue-painted walls, the color faded with the long passage of time. The autumn sunlight filtered through the gray curtain, illuminating the interior of the room.

A single bedframe was tucked in a corner of the room, accompanied by a bedside table. Two-door closet stood opposite the bed, next to a small study table. 

Liliana stopped in front of a five-tier bookshelf. Most shelves were empty. She wondered if they were filled with school books and other educational stuff years ago.
