Chapitre 82: The Accusatory Gazes From Outsiders

After a night of thinking, Lucas decided to go through with his resignation plan. Instead of quitting on the spot, he planned to give two weeks' notice to the supervisor.

But, everything still depended on how things unfold today.

"Good morning."

Lucas quietly entered the backdoor of the cafe, greeting the staff in the kitchen as usual.

But, the weird gazes thrown in his direction confirmed his suspicions that today might be a stressful and chaotic one for him.

After all, the staff group chat was buzzing with the news of Lucas being detained by police last night.

A few of them expressed their concern, saying he was being defamed but, there were still people who already viewed him as a criminal.

"Wow... he acts as if nothing happened."

"Hush! We don't know the truth yet."

"What? I heard that woman is his ex. Who knows, he's still salty about their breakup?"
