The drizzle finally ceased, and the sky gradually cleared.
Nian Yuyu entered the high school office building, confidently making her way to her father's office.
She had texted in advance, and upon arriving at the office, her father immediately forced himself to stand up. He was just about to say he was fine when Nian Yuyu cut in, "Dad, Mom said to take you to the hospital for a check-up. If you don't want to go, call her yourself."
His father was left speechless by her words.
Nian Yuyu noticed a dark brown iodine stain on his exposed elbow and frowned, her normally soft voice taking on a stern tone, "Dad, please go to the hospital for a check-up."
Her gaze shifted downward to her father's ankle, obscured by his trouser leg, "Mom said your face has been swollen for several days now."
She was somewhat displeased, "Didn't you promise me before that if your gout flared up, you'd go to the hospital early for an injection?"
