Chapitre 110: Chapter 110: Investors

"What the hell is this?" Noah Tedson shouted angrily flinging a brown file on the sitting room table.

"A compiled list of some of our investors that have suddenly withdrawn their investment." Felix explained standing.

"I know that. I mean what the hell is that?" Noah said pointing at the file pacing round the room.

"The compiled file." Felix replied again.

"What the hell is wrong with you Felix! Do you think I don't know what a file or compiled names looks like. I mean why the fucking hell are our investors withdrawing. What is wrong!" Noah screamed abd groaned in pain.

"Honey, easy with the swear words." Sarah Tedson said as she seated down on the couch looking dead serious and worried.

"Father, If this is actually what I think it is, then we might be in for a bigger challenge at the moment." Felix added rubbing his head nervously.

"What do you think?" Noah asked pausing in his steps. He turned to his in anticipation, already scared of the worst. "Speak Felix." He ordered.

Felix turned to his brother who was sitted quietly at a corner listening to the conversation. "Most of the investors pulling out are the ones we got courtesy of Simon kentley." Felix said. "It could be a wild guess. But

I reached out to his lawyer about the new offer he brought to us and her representative picked up. She told me they'd get back to me and never did. I tried calling back severally and nobody picked up. I left a couple of voicemails, yet nothing." He paused looking round to ensure his family was following the conversation. Devastated, Noah sank into a nearby chair.

"When was this?" Frankie asked, speaking for the first since their little gathering.

"Yesterday." Felix.

"And you're just saying this now? You're seriously saying this now Felix! What happened to calling me on phone. Why wait till you come home." Noah asked obviously frustrated. "Oh god, this is not happening. Sarah tell me this is not happening." Noah groaned. "I'm loosing my mind already!" He screamed.

"Calm down. This is still speculations. We might just be over thinking it. We just need to talk to Simon. If he knows about it, then he might have an explanation for it. But if he doesn't, he can help us speak to the investors." Sarah said in a bid to calm her husband down.

"Frankline, you need to call Simon, he is your friend. I can't wait till Monday for a reply that is going to end up sounding professional. I need a close or mutual conversation with him. Call him." Noah urged Frankie who hesitated.

"Kentley will be very busy today." Frankie replied. "Tomorrow is June's wedding. So, he'll be extremely busy. I doubt he will pick up." Frankie told his father.

"That is so true honey. You know what? You can actually have a conversation with him at the wedding tomorrow. Just try not to make it sound too business related." Sarah suggested rocking her husband's back.

Noah went silent for a while as he went into deep thought. "What if Simon knows what is going on. Investors do not just wake up one day and decide to pull out at the same time." Noah thought aloud. "But I've never wronged Kentley." He said out loud again.

"This is what you get for making one man the center of your business father. When he bleed, you suddenly bleed with him. And when he decides to walk away, you struggle to stay afloat and if you can't, you sink." Frankie said angrily. "Kentley is a small boy, how you suddenly decided to build our company, the family's identity round him still surprise me. Who is Simon Kentley? Like what does he know that I don't." Frankie said to everyone's surprise. "Dad, you di......"

"Will you shut your mouth Franklin." Noah yelled at his son. "Shut that mouth of yours. Have you forgotten so soon? When our company fell into serious debt? Have you forgotten who saved us by peaching and convincing investors to invest in our company. What did you do back then Franklin Tedson? Since you are out here comparing yourself to Kentley, please tell me what you did to save our ass from debt. Tell us what you did!"

"I would have done something father. I had plans, but you never allowed me to carry them out! You didn't trust me enough to save our ass. You didn't even have faith in my words, suggestions nor adoptable strategies. You just ruled me off." Frankie said bitterly.

"Your plan was that of a loan Franklin. You suggested that we take another loan to offset our previous loan. Wasn't that your plan?" Noah asked standing up.

"Yes, it was a great plan Dad. You just didn't want to explore it. People use that strategy a lot in their businesses and majority." Frankie added.

"Because I was being reasonable and rational. How do you expect me to move out from a deep debt only to end up in a deeper debt? Your plan was not going to work. Even a lame man could see it. If we'd followed your plan, we might be homeless by now." Noah sighed. "Look I don't know when you suddenly started comparing yourself to kentley, but I suggest you stop that. You will only end up hurting yourself. You need to put yourself together for this family. We have an issue at hand. So we need maximum cooperation and communication. What are we going to do?" Noah finally turning to his wife who seem to be in deep thoughts.

"We will talk to Simon at the wedding honey." Sarah Tedson said. "His reply will determine our next course of action. For now, let us all relax our minds and go about our usual activities. Can we do that?" She asked everyone.

"Yes." They all chorused. Noah went back to his seat and crossed his legs. He heard everything his wife just said but none it seem to be making any sense to him. If Simon was behind it all, then Noah knew that he was in for more surprises by the Monday.

Paige stretched freely on the bed with her eyes still shut. She yawned lazily awaking every part of her body. Her eyes finally followed suit as she opened them. The first sight that caught her eyes were the chiffon white folds hanging freely on the four poster bed forming a shield, protecting her from the prying eyes sitted right across the room. She looked around trying to recall where she was and what she was doing there. A quick glance across the room had her looking at Simon who was sitted comfortably on a single arm chair just opposite the bed sipping coffee. "Good morning Baby." He greeted dropping his coffee mug on the table close to him."I take it that you slept very well?" He asked coming to meet her at the bed.

Once out of the chair he was sitting on, Paige's jaw dropped in admiration as Simon walked up to her bare chest and a pair of black trouser on his waist. Getting to the bed, he stood facing her while she lay down comfortably. "I made breakfast, would you love to have some?" He asked showing off his fine biceps and six pack muscles

"What did you cook?" She asked still lying down.

"Just tea." He replied. "Would you love some?"

"Yes please." Came Paige's reply. She smiled as Simon brought the tray of food that was kept aside earlier to her bed.

"I'll help." He offered and helped fix the breakfast quickly. Paige sat up on the bed and sipped her tea while he sat beside her.

"What are your doing today Sunflower?" Simon suddenly asked. Paige who's eyes were still glued on Simon's bare chest heaved a sigh.

"We'll be getting our hair, nails and the rest done today. The stylists will come to the house." She added intentionally knowing that this part of the story will make Simon smile and of course, it did.

"I will be quite busy today myself. From checking that everything is going smoothly with June, to trying out my outfits for the wedding and basically lots more.

"I'll barely see you today then." She said mimicking a sad face. Did you speak to your Aunt yet?" She asked remembering their conversation from the previous night.

"Yes I did, very early in the morning." He replied.

"How was it? Did it yield any positive result?"

"I don't think so. She ended up crying endlessly throughout the discussion. Maybe I approached her a bit early. I should have waited till evening.

"Believe me, You went at the right time. She'll think about it and get back to you. This should serve to remind her how much you care about her. So not to worry, she will definitely get back to you." Paige reassured him. Still distracted by Simon's bare chest, she pushed her tray of food to the bedside drawer and adjusted to Simon's position. "Don't you think it's too early for such a beautiful distraction?" She asked leaning on his back. Gently she crossed her hands round his stomach and sighed deeply.
