Chapitre 85: Chapter 85: Not Dumb

Just as Anna was about to say something, June walked in on them shouting on top of her voice. "I do not know what these people take me for. The wedding planner got me a wrong dress. Can you believe that Anna!" She asked finding it hard to believe.

"I told you." Anna replied. "They can be that way. You should be grateful you noticed this on time. You can still resolve it now, can't you?"

Simon's phone rang cutting off June's attempted reply and he looked at his sisters. "That is my cue." He said pointing at his ringing phone. I'll see the both of you soon." He said standing up. "Come here." He called to June with open arms. "Do not let the wedding bother you too much." He said giving her a hug. "If you need my help with anything, promise me you'll let me know immediately." He asked.

"I will." June murmured with a baby voice.

"I'll see you off." Anna offered.

"No, I'm fine." He replied. Just stay with June. Bruce is already waiting for me outside. I'll see the both of you by weekend." He told them before stepping out.

Once Simon was out of view, June turned to her sister. "He doesn't look too well, what's wrong with him?" She asked.

"He said he had difficulty sleeping last night." Anna replied. She knew Simon already said that and she wanted to stick with the same story.

"I know that already. He said it himself. I'm asking what the problem is." June stressed.

Anna scratched her head lazily. "You should have asked him yourself while he was still here. How am I suppose to know what is wrong when he told me same thing." Anna said.

"Wow, just wow!" June exclaimed. "Nobody tells me anything in this house anymore. Why? You guys see me as an outsider now? I'm asking cause this is so annoying. If there is anyone that should know what the problem is, it is you. So, why don't you want to say?." June fumed.

"Oh my god, June you're beginning so sound funny. Anna said laughing but unfortunately got choked by her saliva. "You are so certain that I know something when I don't even know a thing. You know Simon. He will only talk if he wants to. He would have confided in us if it was something very serious. But since he didn't say a thing, it might be that it was just a sleepless night like he said." Anna added coughing slightly to releive her throat.

"Sorry." June told her in response to the cough. "I still don't believe you though." She added simply. "But let's just leave it at that. By the way, where is paige? Did Simon leave her all alone at the mansion?" June further asked.

Anna stood up and went over to the mini bar for a glass of wine to calm her almost sore throat. "Maybe she didn't want to come over since Emily and I will be going home tomorrow." Anna replied hoping her sister will not stress the topic more than that.

"Anna, you know something that I don't know. I know this, I can feel it." June murmured sadly. "You can keep it to yourself. I have my ways of finding out If I want to. Let me focus on this wedding for now. Once it's over, I will carry out my findings. You know me sister. I pride myself so much in that aspect." June said standing up angrily.

"Oh June, don't be like that. You know I can't hide anything from you." Anna started dropping her glass of wine as she moved closer to her sister. "Baby." She called June holding her arms and turning her around in such that they faced each other. June stared at her with an angry facial expression. "You know me, I can't hide anything from you. I do know something, but I can't say a thing cause Simon thinks we shouldn't bother you. Sweetie, your wedding is just days from now. You deserve to celebrate without worries." Anna added. "I promise to tell you what I know after the wedding." She told June causing her  to smile happily.

"Does it have something to do with Paige spending the night at Frankie's." June asked with a mischievous smile.

"You sneaky fat head. How did you know that?" Anna asked her sister smiling.

"I'm not dumb sister. I do have access to informations if I want. A certain birdie told me that our brother took Paige to his Lakeview apartment." She told Anna. "I thought it very odd when I heard about it. We all know that Simon isn't a romantic. Are they really dating?" June asked.

"I knew about Paige spending the night at the Tedsons. But that's really all I know." Anna lied. "I'm still very much surprise to hear about Lakeview. I will definitely ask Simon. How could he keep such away from us?" She added feigning surprise.

"Whatever." June said picking up her handbag which she left on the couch earlier. "Keep wallowing in your lies and denial. Alfred and I have an appointment with the priest today. I need to go get my husband to be and ensure we don't miss our appointment. Heard it's part of my wifely duties to ensure that my husband doesn't forget stuff like that." She said.

"Who told you such a ridiculous lie?" Anna asked ignoring June's first comment. "That's not true at all." She said laughing.

"I know that already." June said laughing alongside her sister. "But you should hear Alfred's mother listing out and explaining my duties as a wife. Those things she mentioned have to be the craziest things I've ever heard since my existence on earth. Makes me wonder if she does all that for her husband as well." June said heading towards the door.

Anna laughed at her sister's carefree lifestyle. June was not someone you'd want to stress. She smiled inwardly knowing how lucky June was as she was getting married to a man that understand her entire being. A man who accepted her excesses like they were nothing. "Are you coming back to Acubana today?" Anna asked as June got to the door.

"You wish." She replied. "I'm so tired of you filling me up with lies. If it gets late, I'll spend the night at my place. But if we finish early enough, I might come here still." she added.

"Or you could spend the night at your fiance's." Anna chipped in.

"Alfred's got his cousins and others at his place. I love my privacy sis. I can't spend the night there. Bye." She finally said before shutting the sitting room door. Once out of sight, Anna heaved a sigh of relief. She poured herself another glass of wine as the thought of her brother going through withdrawal syndrome from Sexual addiction all by himself made her so uncomfortable and helpless. Asking June to be with Emily was a big no because that would mean letting her in on Simon's personal struggle on addiction and she knew her brother wouldn't have it. Coming up with an excuse and lying to June was also out of it because she'll definitely try to poke and who knows what she might find out in the process. Seeing that there was really nothing she could do, she gave up and resolved to be calling Simon as often as she could throughout the period of his stay at Galvile.

Back at the Tedson's mansion, Paige and Frankie sat in the garden having a time of their life as Frankie finished singing for her with the company of his guitar. "Omg! You play so well." Paige praised him happily. Paige knew a couple of stuff about music. So, she was very impressed with Frankie's performance. "How come you are this good?" She asked him surprised.

"I took a couple of music classes two years ago." He told her. "It was one of the best activities I've ever indulged in." He confessed. "You said you sing as well." He asked.

"Yes, I did a couple of theatre performances while at school." She told him happily.

"I'd love to hear you sing someday." He told her.

"Sure, I would love to. Maybe during my next visit." She said. "Time move so fast these days and I fear I might get to creek island very late if I don't start my journey back soon." She informed him checking the time displayed on her phone screen.

The last couple of hours Paige spent with Frankie at the garden was spent getting acquainted to each other. They talked about lots of things. Their likes and dislike, aspirations in life, ambitions, some of the challenges they've faced in life and a lot more. Paige paid full attention to everything Frankie had to say while Frankie paid little or no attention to hers and of course as usual, she didn't notice.
