Chapitre 8: Chapter 8: The Kentleys
She rolled down Charlotte's window a little and was faced by a Man who introduced himself as Sherman, the butler of the house. "May I open the door for you Miss?" He asked her.
"Oh," Paige exclaimed and opened the door myself. "Thank you for the kind gesture but I can do that." She continues. Charlotte was a special car. She doubt he would be able to open Charlotte's door on a first attempt.
"You must be the Nurse?" He asked
"Yes, it's nice meeting you." She replied and offered him a handshake. But Sherman bowed his head in response.
"We've been waiting for you all day. Welcome ma'am." He said and went ahead to carry her boxes. They were altogether three heavy boxes. He succeeded in bringing the three boxes down from Charlotte's booth. While packing the boxes earlier, Paige had tried her best to curtail the number of boxes she was to travel with. Every single thing in those boxes were so important to her . There was nothing she could do about it. A Black BMW accompanied by an SUV drove into the garage as they stepped onto the Porch. One of the men in the BMW came down and opened the door to the SUV.
An extremely gorgeous man with muscles threatening to burst through his black shirt, hair well trimmed and groomed with the sexiest face Paige have ever seen her whole life stepped down from the car. His first action was to look at Charlotte and then at Paige.
"I take it that you are my mother's Nurse." The handsome man asked walking up to them.
"Good afternoon Sir, yes I am." She told him not knowing if it was appropriate to stretch out her hands for a handshake or not.
"My name is Simon and not Sir. I understand that most people might want to call me Sir because in their eyes, I look Forty, maybe Fifty. But, I'm just 37 and I love to be addressed as Simon." He said with a serious face.
"And you are Miss Patterson right?".
"Yes Sir.. Simon"
"Sir Simon, hmmmm. I still prefer Simon only thank you. Sherman!." He called to have Sherman bow. Take those boxes to her room and try not to mess up my Porch." Sherman got to work immediately.
Simon turned to Paige. "Do you always park the whole city with you while traveling?" He asked. "Try not to mess up the Porch with your numerous baggages. Obviously, you didn't go through the contract. He said and walked away."
"I did," Paige started. "I...... He was already inside the SUV before I she could say complete her statement. "What kind of human move this fast." She thought to herself.
"Good evening ma'am, may I lead you to your room now?" A maid asked to divert her attention from Simon. Paige turned and noticed that all her bags have been moved inside successfully.
"Yes please." She replied and followed the maid who led the way to Paige's new room. Paige gushed at the beauty of the mansion. If she said that the Kentleys mansion was exquisite, then she is a hundred percent correct. Her bedroom succeeded in proving right her even more. The details of every single furniture in the room was elegant.
"Would you want me to run you a bath madam?" The maid asked.
" No, I'm fine. You can go please. I will help myself." She replied wanting be to left alone so that she can savour the beauty of her new room. Yes, her room.
"If you need me, just press the bell and I'll be at your service." The maid said showed her a button at her bedside and left. Immediately she left, Paige pounced on the bed. The smooth Velvet pillow slip kissed her face and sent beautiful shivers down her spine.
The bed sheet and duvet did the L*rd's work on her skin. She couldn't help but smile imagining what her skin will feel like after three months with the Kentleys. With these thoughts, she dozed off.
