A good distance from the fog was travelled. Pieces of meat were eaten by many before leaving the prey and once at the safe spot, the men raised a few simple tents for themselves and their leaders. Aiming to shelter their bodies from the freezing chill of the morning while earning proper rest on the warm ground, contrary to the cold suffocating air of the dry woods.

Some remaining meat they could take would be roasted once the sun climbed the sky, to then continue a journey that wouldn't let them move as nonchalantly anymore.

At his tent, Aslak threw his axe after speaking with the bloody beard of Hrom, continuing to be dubious of Vinka's intentions.

— She said she wanted to stay so we exchanged tasks, she had furs to comb and pants to thread together apparently. The villagers know she's strong so they should be fine with her as temporal head either way, ya know? —

"She wants something… I hope it's just not what she can't have."
