Chapitre 4: Chapter 4 | A Looming Threat, The Grounders
"You wanted to go first now quit stalling" Clarke berated, "Mount Weather awaits.
"Just hang on until the Apogee, and you'll be fine" Jasper said. The Apogee like the Indians right Finn inquires?
"That's the Apache not the Apogee" Jasper corrected.
"Today Finn" Clarke hurried "aye aye captain" Finn said
As Finn pulled back the makeshift rope that was tied to a tree I stopped him, wait let me go, in case there is any dangerous animal. "Are you sure," of course I am, I have my spear.
"be careful" Finn said,
as I grabbed onto the rope octavia looked at me, and grinned, I smiled back. Then I pulled back. And flew into the air with the rope.
As I landed on the other side of the river I turned around to let them know that I'd made it safely.
Seeing that they calmed down I went to go find the sign that was supposed to be here, to use it as a shield, because this is where Jasper got speared
And before you knew it a spear flew out of the trees, aimed straight at me. Reacting quickly I raised the shield and used it as a shield, to block the spear. The spear hit the sign with a loud thud, sending me tumbling backwards. I quickly got back on my feet and scanned the area, searching for the source of the attack.
There hiding in the trees was a grounder, he had a fierce look in his eyes and was armed with a spear. The grounder was Lincoln, Octavia's love interest in the show, well not anymore.
I slowly approached him, keeping the makeshift shield high in front of me.
As I held the shield up, Lincoln charged at me with his spear. I dodged to the side and swung my spear at him, but he blocked it with his own.
We circled each other, each waiting for the other to make a move.
I could feel the tension building as we stood there, eyes locked, waiting for the other to make a mistake. I knew I had to stay focused and alert, one wrong move could mean my demise.
Lincoln suddenly lunged at me, and I raised my shield just in time to block his attack. I countered with a swift strike, but he was too quick and managed to dodge it.
The fight continued for what seemed like an eternity, neither of us giving an inch.
This has to end, I thought to myself as I looked for an opening. Suddenly, Lincoln made a mistake and left his guard down. I saw my chance and lunged forward with my spear, aiming for his chest.
But just as I was about to strike, Lincoln suddenly halted and dropped his weapon. He looked at me with a pained expression and spoke in a low, gravely voice. "Stop. I cannot fight you. You are not my enemy."
Confused, I lowered my shield and spear. "Then why did you attack me?"
Mmm I don't remember anything like this happening in the show, is it because my presence here has changed some events, I hope it's not too drastic or else my knowledge of the show is useless
To silence you, Lincoln said in a low gravely voice, the Mountain Men would've come down here. with how loud your group is.
I thought about it for a while, and this was why Lincoln speared Jasper in the series.
I see, you can go now, I said and Lincoln immediately got up, hurrying to get away. As he disappeared into the forest, I made sure no other grounders were here before leaving.
I walked out of the forest by the lake, to see a worried group of 5. Guys! I shouted to the other side. We need to get back to the drop ship, give me the rope.
As they handed me the rope, I quickly swung to the other side. "What's happened over there?" Octavia asked, her expression filled with concern as I landed safely. "We're not alone in this world," I replied, pausing to catch my breath. "What do you mean?" Clarke questioned. " I mean there were people on the ground before us, and they adapted to the radiation.
We need to go tell the others.
Their eyes widened as they realized the implications of what I had just said. "You mean there are other survivors out there?" Finn inquired. Yeah and I just got into a fight with one, "you what?". Why didn't you call for help, you guys wouldn't have been able to make it time anyway.
"But still we were worried," Clarke said.
Anyway let's go back to the drop zone, Mount Weather can wait.
