Chapitre 15: Ch15
"Okay, that is way cooler than I thought," Dan muttered while looking at his transformed body.
"And that is something even I can agree on," an amused voice from behind him said.
'What! Who is that?' Dan thought while quickly turning his face towards the voice, but it was still too late as he only saw a black fist smashing on his rocky cheek when he turned his head.
The punch immediately sent him crashing into the wall.
*Break*
*Thud*
After getting up, Dan saw the person that appeared on his ship without his knowledge and punched him.
The person was not entirely human looking, as he looked more like a realistic hybrid of a black cat (Panther) and human standing approx 8 feet in height.
'A Zoan of some cat, probably someone known for its stealth,' Dan thought while warily looking at him.
'Scan Power Level!'

Power level: D-].
'D- rank, so by the system's stats, his speed and strength would be above 100 but below 200.'
'And given that he is already in his hybrid form, I can only assure that it's his max power, and hopefully he doesn't have some other weird way of powering up.'
"So, before we start tearing each other apart, can you tell me why you are after me?" Dan asked calmly while deactivating his Rock Skin quirk.
As it was only active for a few seconds, it only decreased his stamina by a negligible amount.
'Skill downloader scan.'

'A close-range fighter that is also very stealthy, so a basic Ninja pack,' Dan thought after taking a quick look at his skills.
The Cat Man didn't respond, instead just looking at him with interest.
"Very well, my name is Ray, and I will answer that question if you tell me what your devil fruit is?"
Dan didn't immediately reply in favor of commanding the system to increase his super speed and stamina quirk to beginner level.
[It will cost 2,090,000 beri]
[Are you sure]
'Yes, just complete it quickly.'
"It is not as exceptional as you think it is. It just allows me to trade things," Dan replied calmly as his confidence for the upcoming confrontation increased after he felt both quirks reach beginner-level mastery.
"So, trade trade fruit, and it even lets trade powers also, very impressive devil fruit," He muttered slowly while looking at him before his face darkened. "But nothing personal, kid. I am just here to complete my mission."
After saying that, he lunges toward Dan, intending to end his life as quickly as possible.
"Oh, hell no!" Dan said before activating his super speed quirk.

And immediately, the world around him slowed down to a point where the attack, which was previously nothing but a blur in his eyes, was now moving at a snail-like pace.
All Dan could think of was 'Wow' when he saw the difference between the effects of a beginner's super speed and a novice's.
He never felt like this when he was using it for his training.
It's like the whole world is moving a dozen times slower.
'Now, let's end this quickly.'
With his newly increased speed, Dan easily evaded his claws which were previously nothing but a blur in his eyes.
And before Ray could even react to it, Dan moved faster than he could follow as he attacked his legs with his tail blade.
*Slashhh*
*Thud*
In an instant, Dan was standing a dozen meters away from him with a tired expression on his face.
'Damn, I'm almost out of stamina.'
'If I have to use super speed for one more second, then I am done.'
'But with that kind of injury, he would not be able to move at that speed anyway, so it is manageable,' Dan thought while looking at his attacker lying on the floor with a shocked look.

Meanwhile, Ray was already shocked when Dan moved at speed far faster than him and dodged his claw before he felt tremendous pain in his right leg...or what was left of it.
He barely stopped himself from screaming like a bitch when he looked at his right leg or what was left of it.
Blood continued to gush out of his right leg like a river as everything below his knee was cut off, making him unable to stand as he fell to the floor.
The pain was almost too much for him, and his transformation was canceled as he returned to his human form.
'I... I have to survive.'
But still, the will for his own survival was stronger than the pain of losing his leg as Ray morphed into his hybrid form.
Ray tries to get up with some difficulty, using his tail as support.
After standing up, he quickly pulled out his gun and pointed it at Dan.
While he doesn't like using guns, that doesn't mean he won't use them to complete his mission if the need arises.
Still, he also knew that his speed had always been the reason he was able to kill most of his targets.
But now, when one of his legs was cut off? When can he not even move without stumbling? How can he fight? What are the chances of his survival?
Especially against someone with speed so much greater than him, he knows that his chance of survival is even dimmer unless Dan lets him leave.
Which is even more unlikely to happen.
But after seeing a worn-out look on Dan's face, the tiny ember of hope for his own survival immediately turned into a blazing fire.
'So, he cannot use that kind of speed without consequences. Good, then maybe I really have a chance to get out of this mission alive.'

Meanwhile, Dan knows he is on his last leg, so he tries to finish this as quickly as possible.
With that thought, he dashed toward him while activating his new quirk.
"Big fist!"

Both of his fists immediately grew nearly half his height without decreasing his mobility.
*Shot*
But before he could do anything else, a gunshot was fired at his head with surprising accuracy.
Seeing no other way to dodge this, Dan used both of his gigantic hands to block the bullet.
This resulted in a somewhat successful block, as the bullet was stopped at the cost of a halfway hole in his hand.
'F*cking hell, they all made this kind of shit look so easy,' Dan thought while not trying to scream in pain.
*Shot*
*Shot*
Two more gunshots followed the previous shot.
But this time, Dan was ready as he easily jumped out of the way before picking up a nearby chair and throwing it back at him with full strength.
The chair immediately sails through the air at neck-breaking speed.
Ray tried to dodge it, but with only a single leg, it was almost impossible.
While the chair didn't do any excessive damage, it was enough to disturb Ray's balance, causing him to fall again.
But this time, it was different as a massive fist struck mercilessly at him before he could get up.
*Baam*
*Baam*
*Baam*
*Baam*
One after another, gigantic fists continued smashing Ray's fallen figure without hesitation.
It is unlikely that there is a bone in his body that hasn't been broken by those punches.
But Dan didn't stop. Taking any chances with a Devil Fruit user isn't something he wants to risk. Therefore, this beatdown continues for a few more seconds before Dan has to cancel his quirk, as his stamina is almost empty.
Still, the damage was already done, as there was no way Ray could even move a finger for months after this.

Sorry for not uploading in the past few days, but don't worry, I have a very good reason for that, well, multiple reasons, all of which can be summarised in a few words. My luck has fallen to F- rank or even worse for the past few days, almost everything I am doing is creating a problem or headache for me.
Now you must be thinking there is no way things could go that bad, right? He must be exaggerating.
Well, here are a few (most important) highlights, my car broke down at the worst possible moment, and the next day while driving my bike (without a helmet), a small insect got into my left eye (I removed it immediately, but it caused me itchy eye even after applying medicine), I sprained right ankle when I was out with my friend. Most importantly, my laptop stopped working, but thankfully it was nothing major.
And aside from them, there were many minor incidents that made my life annoying.
So, now you know why the upload was late.
