Raising one of her arms straight above her head, Reduvia's sleeve rolled down, revealing her pristine white bone.
The bright whiteness tarnished as the dense dark, death mana course through her bones like veins.
Blouvier reached for something inside of her white and golden robe, the compressed vibrant green mana not nearly as noticeable beneath her skin.
Speaking a short chant in the undead tongue, a curved sword manifested itself out of thin air inside of the lich's outstretched hand.
'Brilliant Bone Blade'
The human mage didn't say anything, the object already resting on her person.
It was the handle and guard of classical short sword.
The metal it had been forged out off was shiny and golden, but soon, the brilliant craftmanship was overshadowed as the empty space where the blade should be was ignited with a lively green.
"I taught this trick to the little heroine" Blouvier smiled brazenly.
For once, they hadn't both pulled the exact same thing.
Although it was still the same concept.
Reduvia's bone blade was infused with death force instead of death magic and vice versa for Blouvier, whose blade was pure life force.
The clashing of their zones had nullified all magic outside of their bodies, but death and life force weren't magic.
Both took a single step forward and swung their blades, the might behind putting the full mana available to them toward enhancing their physical selves was enormous.
The two swords of wholly different natures clashed and killed all momentum as the solid bone blade and plasma sword of life stopped one another in their tracks.
The impact had no immediate consequences, only as they tried to push their opponent back and left the two blades grinding against each other did a blast of chaotic force shook the room.
A strange wail rang from all directions as Axiolypito's offspring encasing the both of them was nearly killed by this single interaction.
It had been able to endure their furious magical battle thanks to being fused with the dense stone walls of the castle and its true body being able to move around to avoid explosive spells.
Its mere closeness with this however had racked it to its core, putting it right at death's door.
In fact, it died a second later, the entire room beginning to crumbled down, without its support the deep ground it had been keeping in place began to push back with its full strength.
Axiolypito's original idea to keeping Cradled Lich in check was laid bare, with his offspring's passing, the whole place would collapse on itself, crushing everything and everyone within to a mere pulp.
Even the phylactery-bound lich wouldn't be capable of weaseling her way out this situation easily, if at all.
"Hey miss lich, looks like the little bastard has, unsurprisingly, done us in" Blouvier seemed awfully blissful about this situation.
"As should be expected by this point, but it's in my favor, the crushing will be much simpler to reform from than having my death force erased or partially destroyed" Reduvia was equally unimpressed, even if it would take her a whole year to get out, it didn't matter.
She was undead, time was powerless against her.
"Yeah, yeah, but do you really think Axio would put this whole mess together just for the fun of it? This little freak intends on becoming the monster king"
"I don't know him and with how easily he tricked you, you don't have any idea what he is capable of" The life mage shook her head.
"The Obsidian Queen, her majesty will not be easily defeated by such riff-raff, even if he was capable of killing her in blow, he won't be able to resist the authority over monsters she possesses" affirmed Reduvia.
Monster Queen wasn't just a title, it was a title bestowed upon one by the system and it held special powers, significance that could be manifested and interact with the world.
"Think again" Blouvier smiled at her, tapping against the side of her head.
"..."
Reduvia did think again.
And the question was: Could Axiolypito have a conceivable way of evading the queen's influence and if so, could he defeat her in battle?
What did she know of him?
She had only ever seen him use abilities, he had never spoken about his own powers himself, which was fair even if one wasn't a traitor.
She had seen the way he could implant one of his claws in the nape of a monster and pretty much control it as he wished.
The 'spawners' that he could use to let out a constant tide of animals.
The orbs he could use to grow towers and dungeons...
"Hold on a moment..."
There was a certain pattern to the abilities she did know about.
'They are quite fit for a lord or ruler' bringing one hand up to her skeletal face, her eyes dimmed as a thought immersed itself inside of her head.
Axiolypito must have been quite confident to enact such a plan, he may be self-centered to the brim and so narcissistic that he felt no affection or desire for anyone else, but he was undeniably not a fool.
Coupled with the fact that he had the skill set to be a formidable monster king...
"Do you really think he could make the system change the title over to him? Or be a good enough candidate to nullify the queen's influence?" those were the main two ideas that sprung up into Reduvia's mind.
"No clue, I just trust in his overconfidence, he genuinely gives the vibe of someone that is in complete control, he was even confident enough to leave out by yourself down there while he dealt with the queen at first" Blouvier had genuinely not given it much of a thought, it was only obvious to her that Axio wasn't going to run himself into a wall.
She didn't know anything about the queen and her powers however, to Reduvia, the Obsidian Queen couldn't be defied by a monster face to face, the existence of traitors was possible but she had never imagined one going directly for the queen.
"What do you have to offer then?" Reduvia caved in, she had to get out here as soon as possible.
"Let's replicate what we just did"
