After Lu Ming's departure, only Chu Yichen and Li An'an were left in the living room.

Li An'an silently let go of Chu Yichen's arm. "I haven't slept enough. I'm going back to bed!"

But Chu Yichen refused to let go of her hand. "Weren't you very clingy just then? Why are you kicking me aside after Lu Ming has left? You're making use of me!" Chu Yichen sounded furious. His anger had already peaked the moment Lu Ming had so boldly confessed to her. The thought that she was trying to please him only because she was worried about Lu Ming made him even angrier.

Li An'an couldn't keep up with his reaction. She had no idea what it was she said that made him think she still had feelings for Lu Ming.

"I don't think so? I felt that I said what was right and didn't leave any room for negotiation. I certainly didn't defend him!" She had asked Lu Ming to leave only because she was worried that things would get out of hand. After all, Lu Ming was also a man of status.
