Chapitre 27: No Ashtray

Lev could see the annoyance clear on Ilyana's eyes but it disappeared in the count of seconds. When she looked back at the woman, her smile appeared and her eyes turned as unreadable as always.

"Mrs Evon," Ilyana greeted, her smile slowly softened the corners of her lips. Mrs Evon seemed to have her mien light up upon hearing her voice. Like others, Miss Evon is one of the women who wished their family to be under direct protection of Pandora. It's known to almost everyone that the people Ilyana trust receive her ultimate protection and opportunities for their families' wealth to grow. 

In short to their eyes, she was the goose who lays golden egg. 

Ilyana never liked these kinds of people but she never hate them deeply either. She found it funny how she could tease them and lead them on with the hope that they made up in their own minds about her rewards.
