Miguel’s POV.
“He hasn’t left the estate since the family returned,” Bane, one of the guards who had been dispatched to follow Freddy since he and the family had left our territory and returned to Chicago, said to me as we sat parked in a nondescript black sedan.
“But others have.”
“Who?” I asked, sipping the bitter black brew I had picked up from the gas station while stopping to pee earlier.
“The women…” Christoph said from the backseat.
“The stepmother and aunt?” I turned in my seat to look at Christoph.
I anticipated the quiet Beta to provide more information, but the large man said nothing as he looked out the window. I looked back at Bane who offered me a look that was loaded with so much more weight than I have time to sort out.
“I need this information; the Alpha and our Luna are laying in a bed fighting for her life as we speak. I need to know if anything suspicious or odd has been going on…”
