Chapitre 65: DINNER

Abigail would have thought about this before bringing Xavier here, of course her parents would want to know about his family. But when Abigail had asked Xavier about them, it didn't end well.

Abigail dropped her cutlery as she suddenly lost her appetite, she looked at her mum and saw how she looked at Xavier waiting for his answer. 

Xavier hadn't said a word and seconds had passed since her father spoke, it would be disrespectful to leave the man's question unanswered.

"They are dead" Xavier finally answered as he chewed on his stake. 

The whole room was once again quiet as everyone had paused  from whatever they were doing. Only the sound of Xavier's knife cutting the stake was heard.

"Oh we are so sorry about that dear" Abigail's mum said as she reached her hand out and placed it on Xavier's arm.

Abigail noticed this little action of her mother and she looked at Xavier to know if he was okay with it.
