Chapter 0.06: Massacre
Sitting inside his chamber, Ji Yan wondered how much he would level up from this massacre while waiting for the Nightfall.
And he was not alone.
The Divine Baek Family and Temple of Bliss were also waiting for the nightfall. Or perhaps waiting for the right time for the absolute abstractness of darkness to descend and secretly surround the Forest.
And the nightfall arrived quickly as they wanted, like how the death of the parasites would come quickly.
The night made everything louder and the Wolf head demons and all small Yokai started screaming and howling. Because the Netherworld's winds and Profoundworld winds were mixing and they emitted cold aura throughout the forest.
As time went by, the intensity grew stronger and closer to the center of the forest, there were fast-running Horned Horses heading towards it. Not a surprise that there were people riding those fast-running Horned Horses.
They were coming closer and closer to the Bandit's stronghold. Unbeknownst to the parasites.
"Everyone, The Bandits' stronghold is many and not small but luckily it is mostly surrounded by mountains and Weak Ultimate theory. We'll use this to our advantage and slowly weaken their forces."
"....but Vice Head, Whether we act secretly or openly, It's very easy to alert them". One of the Baek Family questioned.
"We'll proceed to only attack with a small elite portion of our force to attack their force. As a bandit their first action would be to run after seeing so many Elite warriors. We'll regroup after cornering them. I'm sure after getting cornered they'll undoubtedly make contact with a nearby force of theirs."
"Let's set out for glory."
Meanwhile in Bandit Base.
"Today is such a joyous occasion, but here we are dying."
"Why don't you use that energy on doing your duty rather than spouting nonsense?"
"Come on, we're both suffering, and I have a wife and daughter at home. I wonder how they are. I was framed for a crime I didn't commit, and I..."

The attack had begun. The strategy was simple but efficient. A surprise attack.
Divine Baek Family would use a rapid, overwhelmingly powerful force of their that would break away their line of defense so quickly that they would have no opportunity to fight back or make plans.
And what would be the result of it? A complete annihilation.
Unfortunately for them their plan right now is to not massacre them but to make them flee.

All the soldiers shouted in unison.
The Bandit, seeing that their camps were being attacked, started running as they heard the name of Ji Yan, the ruler of Jianghu.
They also were drunk and didn't wish to engage in battle with so many Transcendent Nascent Realm masters led by the Elemental realm master but they made a very big mistake by running. Most of their lower blood horses were already killed by the reserve forces.
So walking on foot made them a lot slower. Only the Leader and second in command of the camp were able to escape and since they separated it led to the weakening of their forces.
Elder Maya had already surrounded the Mountain and put an array and formation to trap them in an illusion if they ran in any other route which was already searched by scout teams but failed to find Bandits bases.
They had nowhere to run other than leading Byun Baek and Elder Maya to their other bases Unknowingly.
On the other hand, The fear was increasing in Bandits who were able to escape as they were running faster and faster. The fear of getting killed by those orthodox bastards and the fear of giving answers to the Bandit king was making them paranoid. They were wondering why the Government rather than the MurimFantasia Federation was after them and they wondered if the king was so ruthless at such a young age, then what would happen once he becomes a bit older.
Wasn't he supposed to be Outwardly cold but inwardly Formation arts obsessed Insane?
And Aren't every era Divine Child supposed to be compassionate?
The first group of Bandits finally reached the second post.
"State your purpose?" One of the other unit bandits asked, continuing "Aren't you supposed to be in your base?"
"I am the leader of unit Green Hawk and we were suddenly attacked by the government."
"What are you talking about? Don't we bribe them regularly and our unit hasn't even grown much here. We're only starting here...…There is a new lord. He is considered "This era's Divine Child"."
Hearing this the Unit GreenHawk leader became silent.
"Did you not pay those government dogs an adequate bribe?" The guard asked.
Unit GreenHawk leader changed the subject because he actually didn't pay the adequate share to the Government and in midst of tension started blaming himself "I want to meet the leader urgently."
After the Unit RedHawk got the gist of this by his guards, he went on to meet the miserable Unit GreenHawk leader whose clothes were drenched with blood and dust.
The Unit GreenHawk leader informed them of the attack done on them by the government and some foreign Kingdom family aiding them in the attack.
"There were many Transcendent Nascent Realm masters and the one Elemental realm master who was leading them. They didn't seem to belong to this area."
"You stupid bastard, Who made you the leader of Squad? They must be reaching here too. We need to escape the Jianghu and inform the bandit lord and other Posts leader to aid us in regaining Jianghu. We had just started getting our power here."
"Sir but there seemed to be some sort of formation around us, We were unable to run and had no choice but to come here"
The second post-leader was Highest in rank and seniority there so he quickly suppressed the fear in his heart but he knew that if they ran if, they would surely die.
He understood the warriors after them are formidable not only because of their realm but also because they were able to use Formation arts and must have broken the ultimate theory of protection surrounding the Base to be able to reach them.
He prepared all the bandits to fight but he didn't expect that the forces that were after them were not just one.
The Elder Maya forces and all warriors of Byun Baek had regrouped together and had already silently approached them as they were speaking.
In the chaos of the Bandits, Elder Maya took the lead and rushed to the command of all forces and attacked them. This was the main force operating in Jianghu so there could be civilians in camp so they couldn't fire an arrow.
Byun Baek cursed as he couldn't take the lead and after entering the battlefield, he started to slaughter bandits.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh"
"Runnn"
"Help!"
Elder Maya had commenced her slaughter with an eerie calm, and the second squad leader, having witnessed the horrifying precision with which she plucked the eyes from his subordinates without a single drop of blood staining her hands, was paralyzed with fear. As he watched her forces devour the hearts of his fallen men, a primal urge to flee surged within him. Yet, he found himself rooted to the spot, immobilized by the anguished screams and desperate pleas of his subordinates, begging for salvation.
He climbed on a Flying horse and charged toward Elder Maya. This was probably the biggest mistake of his life, He charged toward an enemy who he had no information on.
She was a demon who'd eat her own kin for more reward. If not for the charm and authority of Ji Yan and her sect's interest. she wouldn't have even shown respect toward Ji Yan.
Seeing that the Bandit group leader was speeding up toward her, she was overjoyed.
'WHAM'
The sound of the sword and Elder Maya's Nails clashing was so loud that everyone stopped battling to see what happened including Byun Baek.
The axe flew away from the numb hands of the second squad Leader. Elder Maya raised her nails just as the horse turned around and cut off Pan Feng's legs and killed the horse.
He was screaming so much that she couldn't help but cut his tongue and use anti-sound formation on him.
She couldn't just kill him after displaying such courage.
"I wonder what should I do with you" Elder Maya with a cruel smile on her face, started breaking his fingers one by one, and after completing she gouged his eye out.
The second squad leader, Feng, struggling to ask forgiveness without his tongue and Eye accepts his fate and removes all illusions of getting mercy.
Everyone in the midst of the chaotic battlefield was disturbed by Elder Maya's ruthlessness and seeing their leader being defeated so terribly made them lose all hope.
A large part of the Bandits who survived in fear of being tortured by her committed mass suicides and the rest were killed by Byun Baek and his subordinate in the name of Ji Yan.
Elder Maya put up an Illusion formation to trap the Second squad Leader to repeat all the torture he suffered infinitely as they were running out of time.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Elder Maya looked at Feng with her chilling eyes. "Remember, Bandit, it was your choices that led you here.
It was a successful and easy massacre.
