I sat in my bedroom, working on homework, when I heard a tap at my window. I saw Cody outside and pushed the slider up with one hand as Cody leaned into my room.

/"What are you doing?/" I asked.

/"I’m hanging around./" Cody grinned.

/"You know that you can use the front door. Most sane people do./"

/"What fun would be that? Move over./" Cody climbed into my room.

I noticed his black eye. /"Out of curiosity, why do you have a black eye?/" I pointed to Cody’s shiner.

/"Oh, this?/" Cody pointed at his eye. /"I walked into a fist./"

/"What fist?/"

/"Oh, you know, the kind that belongs to a douche who disapproves of someone’s sexual orientation./" Cody laid down on my bed.

/"Who hit you?/"

/"Some guy who took exception when I defended myself./"

/"Why would anyone care if you’re bisexual?/"

/"I never said that I was bisexual./"
