Did you ever hear that high annoying screaming sound and realize that your life was over? The alarm clock was signaling that summer was over, and it was the first day of school.

It’s not like this was the best summer ever. My boyfriend dumped me, and I got to deal with a broken heart. Shit happens. I hope he falls into a deep hole. Yep, I’m still pissed.

I got ready and made my way downstairs as the doorbell rang. I went to answer it, but Dad beat me to the door.

/"I got it. Go have breakfast./"

/"Dad, I’m capable of answering the door./"

/"And you’re capable of eating breakfast. You know it’s the most important meal of the day. Plus, we don’t want your brain to rot because it didn’t get the nourishment it needed./" He smiled.

I gave him a look before going into the kitchen. Dad is acting weird. Oh, wait. That is normal behavior for him.
