On August 24th inside the Adler family home, a man of medium height with a slender frame, pale skin, and dark eyes, sat on the sofa engrossed in a book. The title, "All You Need to Know About Origin Magic," seemed to promise a comprehensive guide to this mystical phenomenon. As Jace turned to the first page, he eagerly delved into the introduction of this intriguing new concept.

Origin magic, also referred to as Legacy magic, encompasses extraordinary supernatural abilities or powers that are not inherent to the human species. These mystical abilities are usually acquired through inheritance from one's parents. However, there is another, more elusive way of acquiring Legacy magic. The way our first ancestors got them, through intricate and elaborate rituals that involve costly materials and the expertise of a skilled ceremonial mage.

Jace was initially captivated by the mesmerizing descriptions of magical abilities in the book he was reading. The thought of possessing extraordinary powers and abilities filled him with excitement and wonder. However, his enthusiasm dimmed when he made a startling realization - his parents were "muggles," a term he had recently learned that referred to non-magical individuals from non-magical families. This meant that he had no chance of inheriting any of the magical abilities described in the book.

As this realization sank in, Jace's mood shifted from excitement to disappointment. He couldn't help but feel that the magical abilities described in the book were unfair advantages reserved only for those born into magical families or the wealthy who could afford the costly rituals and materials associated with acquiring such powers. Jace felt a sense of injustice, as he came to see these abilities as elusive privileges that were beyond his reach

His feelings didn't get any better when he stumbled upon a list of some of the most powerful and useful abilities that were shared with the world. He even found some familiar names in it.

Jace couldn't help but wonder if Rober origin abilities of his own that he hadn't revealed to the world. He pondered this as he carefully stowed the book away in his book storage unit, deciding to set it aside for the moment. Unbeknownst to Jace, he had also inherited extraordinary magical powers, lying dormant within him for now.

Jace carried on with his usual routine, immersed in his books day after day. Before he knew it, September 1st arrived, the day when Robert was scheduled to come and fetch him.

The doorbell chimed, and Jace swung open the door to find Robert standing on the other side.

"I hope you've packed everything and you're ready to go because if you're not, I might just let you walk to school alone," Robert stated in his usual nonchalant manner.

"Good morning to you too," Jace retorted with a hint of sarcasm. "Needless to say, I've been ready to leave since our scheduled time an hour ago. Does that ring any bells, Robert? I've been waiting for you to show up since then," Jace added, feigning irritation.

"Hahahahaha," a voice unfamiliar to Jace laughed behind Robert.

"Oh, shut up Tom!" Robert snapped at the new guy, apparently named Tom.

A tall and handsome young man with dark hair and captivating dark eyes, tinged with red sparks, emerged from behind Robert.

Tom's sarcasm was palpable as he addressed Robert. "I'm so sorry, sir Robert. It's just that, as I see it, we're late. Funny thing, you were late to fetch me as well. Care to inform us about the reasons for your tardiness?"

Jace couldn't resist adding in, "Hey, hey. At least you didn't show up at 4 am this time."

Tom suddenly exclaimed with fake excitement. "No way. He came to my house at the same time!"

"Merlin's baggy y-fronts. Could you two cheeky little buggers shut up?" Robert retorted, clearly annoyed by their banter.

Ignoring Robert's comment, Tom approached Jace and extended his hand.

"I'm Tom Riddle. It's nice to meet you," Tom said with a big smile.

"Jace Adler. The pleasure's mine," Jace replied, mimicking Tom's smile while shaking his hand.

"Good. You little devils know each other now. We don't have any time to waste. You can catch up later. Jace, go fetch your things so we can depart already," Robert instructed.

Jace went inside the house and returned with a heavy-looking trunk and an instrument case slung over his back.

"Is that an instrument?" Tom asked, pointing at the bag on Jace's back.

"Yeah, I play the violin. Although I'm not that good yet," Jace replied.

"I thought I said no time for chit-chat. Now give me your hands, we have to go and get one more kid," Robert said, stretching out his arm.

The two youths with viable hesitation both grabbed Robert's arms and with a loud pop, the trio disappeared.

Jace couldn't help but feel a pang of envy as he compared the cozy atmosphere of this house with his own. The front porch boasted colorful flower pots, and a swing set graced the backyard. A mailbox patiently waited by the curb for the mailman's arrival.

Robert took the initiative and rang the doorbell, and after a brief moment, the curtains inside the house stirred, and the door swung open to reveal a young girl. She had wild, frizzy dark hair, brown eyes, and braces that adorned her protruding teeth.

"Professor McGonagall, what took you so long? I've been waiting for you to come for three hours!" Hermione exclaimed, frustration evident in her voice.

"Easy now, Hermione. I am so sorry to hear that, but it's not my fault. Do you see these guys behind me? Blame them," Robert interjected smoothly, lying without batting an eye.

Before Jace and Robert could even attempt to refute Robert's words, a spell was cast on them, leaving them speechless. Robert had used a nonverbal spell to silence them.

"YOU!" Hermione pointed accusingly at the two boys, her anger palpable. "Don't you know how to get ready on time? Because of you, I've been anxiously waiting at the door for three whole hours! At some point, I even thought that Professor McGonagall had forgotten about me!"

Robert watched as Hermione continued to blame the now-mute boys, who desperately tried to communicate wordlessly that it wasn't their fault. The frustration was evident on their faces as they gestured and tried to plead their innocence.
