Chapitre 42: Adding Fuel to the Flames

Emilia plops down onto her bed and sighs heavily with frustration. This isn't how she wanted things to go, though it's nothing new to lack luck. She sits up and stares at the closed door, hoping that Dietrich will return so they can talk it out calmly. After twenty minutes of silence, Emilia realizes that she should be the one to go to him and apologize. He kept asking for a chance to explain and she wouldn't allow it. 

Emilia rushes out the door and down the stairs in search of her mate. She checks every room in the house but can't find him anywhere. Then she remembers that she didn't check his room so she runs back upstairs to look. Emilia opens the door without knocking and falls back with shock at the scene before her.
