Chapitre 43: Large-scale cleaning
As the situation unfolded, T-dog and Morgan who were bent over braced themselves to resist the impact of the walkers, their muscles tensed, but the impact never came, only the sound of gunfire came from behind them and the roar of the walkers came from in front of them.
Both people raised their heads full of curiosity to see what was happening ahead through the gaps in the shields, and quickly discovered that the walkers in front of them had already been eliminated and neither were in sight.

Out of everyone, only Airon was holding a gun with each hand, accurately shooting all the walkers in front of him.
Nobody is blind, except for Rick who is one of the best shooters of the group, others missed one or another shot. Occasionally the odd shot slipped by the others, but they definitely saw many walkers fall to the ground with a shot to the head. Who then was it that killed a large number of walkers that fell to the ground just a moment ago?
Needless to say, everyone knew that Airon not only eliminated the walkers who stumbled to the ground, but also supported everyone with the walkers behind, which made everyone eliminate this large number of walkers with relief.

Shane, send some people in our direction of travel, see to it that they start cleaning up the corpses and put them together with the others."

Continuing forward, Airon and his group were clearing the path forward carefully, no matter what had happened now, they all wanted to go much further.
Soon after they came to a door blocked by walkers, and they all noticed that it was a double door, while the door was closed with a lock. Looking at the door in front of them, Airon gradually got an old memory, this door is probably the one leading to the cafeteria.
After following some distance and considering that his group is not in a safe place, and there were still people living in the cafeteria at this time, for everyone's safety, Airon decided not to open the cafeteria for the time being.
In the dark corridor, everyone continued to advance, during this time they occasionally encountered one to two walkers in the cells and rooms on either side, but these would not even be eliminated with gunfire, they could solve them with a knife.
Soon, they all arrived at the door of the next unit, it had the same layout but there were many more rooms than the previous unit, estimating there were around 20 rooms considering the two floors, everyone did not bother to eliminate the walkers locked in the cells.
After Shane kept sending people to clean up the corpses in the corridors, several people continued to move forward.
After a while, two more units were cleared and finally at a corner, Airon reached out and touched the shoulder of T-dog who was in front of him, T-dog froze in place instantly. With a tactical understanding, almost the moment T-dog stopped, so did the others.
Stepping out of the circle, Airon came around a corner, listened intently for the sound and then leaned forward, pointing his gun around the other side of the corner.
"Bang!"
There was a crisp sound that hit metal, and after Airon raised his gun, the people behind him unconsciously raised their guns, ready to shoot.
Seeing that the sound stopped, Airon was brought to a corner behind the wall when he heard a gunshot sound.
"This is Airon!"
"Shane here!"
Airon signaled that everyone was out of danger, after lowering the gun he stepped out of the corner of the wall.
"What's the situation over there?" Airon looked at the corridor behind Shane, which appeared to be clear of walkers.
Sahne also holstered his weapon and pointed behind him, "We cleared all the way here and found two units. There were also several cells and large rooms in the hallway, about 65 or so rooms, what did they do on your side?"
Morgan stepped forward and said, "Counting the first unit, we cleared a total of four units, plus the hallway rooms, about a hundred rooms."
Rick said excitedly, "With these almost 200 rooms, we can easily accommodate between 300 to 400 people, this place is very suitable."
Airon also nodded as he listened to Rick's words, he was also surprised at the scale of this prison, but also reminded them, "This should be the largest area of the prison, quite possibly the capacity of other areas should be limited, but there shouldn't be a problem in accommodating 600 people."
After saying that, he pointed to the corridor with obvious burn and blast marks and asked, "What's the status of that place, did you go check it out?"
Shane looked over there, nodded and said, "We went to check it out. The wall should be the backside of the prison. The corridor led to a unit, but it looks like it was destroyed. That unit is no longer usable including the back wall.
"The courtyard wall is also damaged, so now we can only close the gate here to prevent walkers in the forest from entering here."
Airon understood that this should be the place where Tyreese's group entered. If it wasn't for Carl, this group would probably have ended up joining the group in this prison.
"Alright, we need to move now."
"Everyone come with me, there are still some places that haven't been cleared!" Airon realized and led the group behind him towards various divisions along the way.
Airon remembered that there was a place of inner activity in the prison, this place should be full of walkers quite possibly locked up in it. He wanted to move now and find that place to clear it.
When the corridors were cleaned, several people found many special rooms. Some rooms that are different from the prison cells that were on the road. By logic, there should be some support facilities in the prison.
Several people entered the first special room and found that it was the prison infirmary, except for some medical equipment, there was not much medicine, but there was gauze and disinfectants, this area was definitely not bad.
Airon as he moved from room to room, he had a sudden thought. There was one small problem and that was that a suitable place was needed to move the CDC lab later, so it was a priority to find a large place to build the lab and this must be separate to the rooms where they would be sleeping.
While thinking about this, Airon turned his head and said to Shane, "Tell the people outside to find out if there is a separate structure to the facilities at this site, it needs to be a large place, if such a place is found it should be cleared immediately."
"Good!"
Some people came out of the infirmary and soon came to the second room next door. The door here was heavy metal, but it was not locked. When the door was gently opened, the roars of some walkers could be heard from inside.
Airon opened the door and saw that there were many metal machines on both sides of the entrance to the room. Looking inside, there were only two walkers walking towards the door.
"Crack! Ssh!"
A crossbow arrow and a dagger pierced the walker's forehead at the same time. Airon moved and removed the knife from the walker's head, at the same time he turned his head and nodded towards Daryl, Daryl also nodded in response and they both entered the room.
This place was similar to a factory room full of equipment and pipes. There is a lot of different equipment in this place, including generators, pipes, electrical sources, etc.... If conditions permit, electricity could be generated in the future.
Daryl walked over to the large generator, took a look and found that Airon was surprised that there was still oil in the fuel tank, and there were several oil drums next to it, which were full.
Although there is a lot of oil and fuel stored now, who would think too much about this in the future, so everyone was excited to see that this place was amazing and full of secrets.
