Grayson was going to chuck his phone down a well if it rang one more time. If he was being prank called, it wasn't funny. And if it were something important, the caller with the restricted number would have left a voice mail. They never did, though. They just upped the number of calls in a day until it drove Grayson mad.

Once Amelia volunteered to cover for Jude for the Fall Festival, her parents managed to sink their hooks in her, convincing her that it was a family bonding experience that she just couldn't miss out on.

What that meant for Grayson was that there were a lot more lonely days off where he couldn't see his boyfriend or his close friend. They convinced him that helping with the committee was a waste of his time and that he should get to enjoy his days off doing what he wanted to do.
