"How about this one?"
I stared at the giant sword Naruto was holding, barely keeping it in the air. It was shaking in his hand as he tried to keep it still...
"No."
He placed the sword back where it was and went to another part of the Uchiha armory, looking through the weapons as I bit into the juicy red apple in my hand, following his movements absently.
"How about this one?!"
I blinked and stared at the spear that he held, holding it over his head like a log. I simply shook my head as I was still chewing the bite of the apple I took earlier. The blonde grumbled as he tossed the spear to the side and I simply ignored that, I wasn't coming back here any time soon so the I would leave this problem for the future me.
"This?"
A sickle with a chain...
"Try swinging it around."
The dumbass swung it like a sword... Ugh, this was going to take a while. I swallowed and took another bite, shaking my head in response at his actions. Looking around the Armory, I lamented the fact that I turned most of the duplicate weapons to the Anbu forces as I had no use for them.
Spotting something that would be of interest to the blonde, I pointed at it, getting Naruto's attention. He ran over like an excited puppy and picked the weapon up. Taking it out of it's sheath, his blue eyes marveled at the Katana he now held in his hand, it was simple but that was the point. No need for exaggerated decoration on a weapon.
He swung it around for a bit and I watched with a keen eye. Hmm... It would do.
"Alright, let's go, you can keep that, by the way."
I stood up from the counter that I was sitting on and started heading for the exit. The blonde ran behind me, catching up with a sword still in his hand, unsheathed. Gripping its handle, I guide it towards it's designated resting place and walk out of the armory.
"Really?! I can keep it?! Just like that?!"
I just nodded and closed the door behind us as he walked out. I didn't really need that sword anyway. Now all he needed to do was get the scrolls on sword wielding basics and keep an eye on him, just to make sure that he doesn't poke his eye out... Somehow.
"Wow! Thanks a bunch, Sasuke!"
As the two of us walked down the empty Uchiha district, Naruto's stomach grumbled, making its emptiness known to the world, more specifically, me.
Digging into my pocket, I took out another apple wrapped in tissue to keep it from getting dirty and offered it to him. Instead of taking it, the blonde got in a very clumsy quick draw position, looking excited.
"Oh! Oh! Throw it so that I can cut it! We can share!"
…Taking a deep breath, I bonked him on the head with the hand still holding the apple, getting a grumble in response. Later, he swiped the apple from my hand and bit into it, letting out a satisfied Humm after a second.
Yes, join the dark side, we have apples.
After walking for a minute or two we reached my house and I turned to Naruto before entering.
"Stay here. Whatever you do, do not come inside."
The blonde seemed stricken by what I just said, and he looked down at the floor. Did I just say something rude? Judging by all the traps I set up in the forest, it's only rational to assume that my entire house was booby-trapped... Oh wait, he wasn't that smart.
"My entire house is trapped, with explosives. I still like living here, so until I disable them, I don't want you to trigger any of them."
He looked up at me, and his face brightened up in wonder. I could feel something stupid coming my way so I mentally prepare myself. Though, I doubted that I was ready for the onslaught of Naruto.
"Wow! So your house can blow up on command?!"
He was loud, too loud but thankfully, my defenses held up and I managed a nod before walking inside my house. By-passing the first trap that was set right at the door I continued my stroll though my dangerous house and entered the small library that was previously a guest room.
Looking through the scrolls I picked up the basics of katan wielding and looked for something else. Contrary to what normal civilians thought, swords needed extensive care, if they get rusted, you're dead, if you're sword is blunt, you die. If it breaks... You get the idea.
Picking up the basic manual for Katana keeping, it wasn't called that, by the way.
-The next day-
"Like this?"
I pushed Naruto hands gripping the sword slightly down the hilt, adjusting his grip. Walking around him, I slightly kick his leg only for him to remain still. Nodding in approval, I moved in front of him and placed a palm on his chest and pushed slightly. Yup, he was still.
"Yup. Now swing straight down."
He did and I noticed the sword tilting lightly to his right. Raising an eyebrow at this, I motioned him to swing again only for the same result to occur. So, he really was a blank slate, huh.
"Keep the sword in place with your right hand and bring it down with the left, it will keep the blade steady."
He looked slightly confused but did so anyway, getting the result I wanted. The kid knew how to listen, at least. The blonde learned by doing, not reading... He would be a shit teacher though.
I could imagine it right now. Him going "oooh" and "Puwah" while explaining something complex.
"Hey! Sasuke! When can I learn some cool killer moves?!"
… This would be harder then I thought.
