Chapitre 22: Chapter 22 : Never Again

It had been two days since I was injured trying to help save Adriano with Nyx. Two days of being in pain and sleeping off and on to try and heal. Two days of being forced to rest while Nyx and Adriano took care of me on doctor’s orders.

Two fucking days that felt like an eternity to a girl who never took a day off from her life.

I was a hard worker. I was a doer. I didn’t take sick days or slow down. I ran a mile a minute. If my hands weren’t busy then something was wrong. I’d have to find something to do with them before I lost my shit. That’s just who I was.

And laying in a bed like some princess was not something I usually allowed myself to do. They had been doting on me, bringing me food and bathing me. The doctor had visited me off and on to change the bandages and check on my stitches.
