Chapitre 6: Chapter Six: Legends.
"Captain. But how did you end up getting captured?" Miyara asks. "Well. I don't remember much of that day. But the marines were disguised and before I could do anything, I collapsed. Somehow they injected me with anesthesia and took me away." Jacks explains. "So I'm hoping we will find out more when we meet Shanks?" Yataro asks. "Sure. Let's find him first. If you all have done processing it." Jacks laughs. "Come on, Captain. It will take some time for us to process such huge news. Watabe is still yelling something on top of the mast." Miyara says. "So like, where were you strength wise?" Watabe asks. "I could never beat the Captain. But I was stronger than anyone else. Most of the time, it's the Captain and me rushing a whole pirate crew. Which doesn't even feel like a warm up." Jacks says letting out a laugh. "Wow. What about Rayleigh?" Yataro asks. "Oh. Never thought you'd be interested. Rayleigh is mostly like the sanest person there is. Shanks and Buggy were lil critters then. Half of the time everyone would miss out on the action because of us." Jacks says. "Must have been a fun crew." Watabe says. "Captain." Goro yells. "Yeah?" Jacks says. "Island ahead. But it seems there are already some people docked there. I can't say for sure who they are, their ship is all damaged." Goro says. "Well. Let's go to the dock and see for ourselves what's up." Jacks says.
The ship docks near the island. And on the dock, they can see marines all beat up. "They must have fought with somebody. Let's go in further." Jacks says jumping out of the ship. "Tch. I feel uneasy. Like there's a powerful person nearby." Yataro says. The crew follows Jacks into the island. On the path, lots of marine's bodies lay. "Who would do such a thing. They're all dead." Miyara says. "I don't know but I feel like something's not right here. Be careful you all." Jacks says as he steps into a clearing. He stands face to face with a marine recruit. Barely alive, stabbed countless times. Jacks runs and grabs him stopping him from falling. Jacks instructs his crewmates to not talk. "Who did this?" Jacks asks. "Please. Don't hurt me anymore. I told you everything I know. We thought Red-Haired would be here." The Marine cries out. Jacks notices him bleeding from his eyes. "Whoever this is, has some grudge against Shanks. And if this is their work, we have to stop and find them." Jacks says putting down the marine. Goro and the rest carries him towards the ship. "We'll take care of him Captain." Goro says. Jacks turns towards the blood trail the marine left. "Dante. We might not find Shanks here. But we might find somebody who knows about him." Jacks says as he starts walking. Yataro, Fuse and Miyara follows Jacks. He walks into the bushes following the blood trail. "Captain. You feel it too?" Miyara says. "Yeah. Be careful guys. This might not be an easy foe." Jacks says. They continue following the blood trail. They step out from the other side of the island. A group of marines are huddled together, all beaten up. "There's a group of marines, but I don't feel the strong aura from them." Jacks says. They start walking towards the marines. "Hey you. Stop right there." The marines yell. Jacks and his crew stop in their tracks. "Did you do all that? Beating up marines and killing them so brutally?" The marine asks. "No. We're trying to find out who did that too." Jacks says slowly raising his hands up, showing he's of no danger. "Still. You're pirates, and we can't just let you be." The marine says. "Tch. So annoying." Yataro says. Yataro takes a step forward. The marines start shooting towards them. All four of them dodge the bullets and rush towards them. The four of them smashes the marines into the ground and knocks them out. "They were scared out of their wits. Must've been the work of some notorious group of pirates." Jacks says crouching down and examining the Marines. "They have these marks on their bodies. Strange symbols." Miyara says pointing towards a marine. "Hey you. What do you think you're doing to my subordinates?" A voice yells from behind them. Jacks and the crew turns around in a flash. In front of them stands Garp, all pissed. Garp doesn't notice Jacks and is overcome by anger. He starts slowly walking towards them. "Shit. He thinks we did this. Step back guys, he's someone you can't deal with yet." Jacks says stepping forward. He flexes his arm and winces in pain. "Shit. The wound has not yet healed up. Still guys, try to make it out of his reach. This does not look good." Jacks says. Yataro nods and steps back with Fuse and Miyara. "I don't care who you are. But you've done enough." Garp says as he starts running towards Jacks. His aura grows stronger and stronger. Yataro struggles to stand against the pressure. "Sorry Dad but, we didn't do this. But you're not going to listen to me are you?" Jacks says. Garp punches Jacks. Jacks flew a few feet from where he stood. "Who are you calling Dad? You're not my son." Garp yells. "Tch. I'm going to have to beat it into you, don't I?" Jacks says as he starts smiling. He rushes towards Garp and ounches him. He blocks it and grabs Jacks by the arm and throws him. Jacks skillfully lands on his feet and kicks garp in his stomach. Garp slides a few feet back and drops down to his knee. Jacks runs over and kicks Garp. He goes flying further back into the forest. "Why aren't you listening to me? Is this how you treat your son after seeing him after so long?" Jacks yells. "I only have one son." Garp yells. "That's not what you said at Captain Rogers every time you came to bring me back. You used to fight all of us just to bring me back." Jacks yells. "What the hell are you saying?" Garp yells as he rushes towards Jacks. "What I'm saying is to not forget about me that easily!" Jacks yells as he balls his fists up. Jacks starts giving off a dark aura. He swings towards Garp but doesn't hit him. Garp punches Jacks which send him sliding further back. Jacks starts glaring at Garp. Suddenly Garp feels the pressure from Jacks punch. The delayed reaction of his punch crashed into Garp and he could barely withstand it. Garp goes flying and smashes into a rock. "So it's really you, Jacks?" Garp says getting up. The insane pressure coming from Jacks suddenly disappeared. "How'd you finally figure it out?" Jacks asks. "It's been ages, but nobody has been able to swing a delayed punch like you do. And if you really are my son, why would you have any motive to kill anybody?" Garp says slowly walking towards Jacks. "Like I said. We're investigating this island for now. There was an intense evil aura when we came here. We've been following the dead marines here." Jacks says. "Then prove it." Garp says running towards him. "This old bastard." Jacks says as he swings his fist towards Garp. Both of their fists collide. The surrounding ground starts collapsing and cracking. Garp smiles and grabs Jacks hand suddenly. Directs it downward and punches Jacks with his free hand. Jacks dodges it. "You've been doing the same trick for ages Dad. Change it up a bit." Jacks says as he punches Garp into the ground. Jacks extends his hand towards Garp. He grabs it and slams Jacks into the ground. He stands up and starts laughing. "That was a cheap trick Old Man." Jacks says sitting up. Suddenly Garp grabs onto Jacks and slams his fist into his head. A huge bump appears on Jack's head. "That's for disappearing on us all." Garp says. He then hugs Jacks. Jacks starts crying uncontrollably and hugs him back. "Uhh. We might have stumbled onto a weird family reunion." Fuse says as he lets out a sigh. "But just imagine, The Garp. And our Captain." Miyara says. Everyone lets out a sigh.
"We searched for you high and low. And you were right under our noses the whole time." Garp says. "Well I never needed any of your help Dad. And now, I'll make sure I return it back to them a thousand times over. I'll beat that lava lamp into the ground for good this time." Jacks says. Garp ruffles his hair. "It's good to see you alive and well son. But I have stuff to do. And what happened on this island doesn't help either." Garp says. "I felt a tremendous pressure when I got on the island at first. We never ran into whoever it was." Jacks says. Garp looks at him all concerned. Suddenly Watabe runs out of the bushes with the Marine all bandaged up. "Who the heck woke up the Pharaoh here!" Garp stands up in shock seeing the marine. "Haha! It's our doctor. He has a way with treating the wounds of our enemies." Jacks falls over laughing. "Ahem." Yataro clears his throat which makes everyone laugh. "Garp-san? Is that really you?" The marine says. "Yes it is marine. Now tell me who or what did this." Garp says. "We came here with intel about Red-Haired being here. But we stumbled upon the Blackbeard crew. They were ruthless and barbaric towards every single one of us. He took our captain as their hostage and killed the rest. I escaped with my life but this big dude caught up with me. He did all this alone." The marine says. "Blackbeard huh?" Jacks says balling his fist up. "Burgess did this?" Garp does the same. Everyone felt a sudden chill. And the dark pressure starts getting intense. "Dad." Jacks says. Garp nods and stands up. "Miyara, take everyone to the ship and be ready to depart. Fuse and Dante stays behind with me." Jacks says. Miyara nods and leaves with Watabe. "Be careful out there, son. You're lacking in strength, I noticed." Garp says as he starts walking towards his ship with the marines. "Yeah yeah. I'm gonna get revenge on everyone." Jacks says while stretching. "Ready to beat down on some rotten apples guys?" Jacks says. "Yeah." Yataro and Fuse says in unison. The three of them starts walking towards the beach. The pressure starts getting intense. "The little bastard got this powerful while I was away?" Jacks says taking a deep breath. Blackbeard's crew comes into view as they walk further. "They seem to be fighting with somebody already." Fuse says. Fuse starts looking around for Jacks. Yataro points towards the fighting. Fuse looks and sees Jacks running towards them at full speed. "Swear to god." Fuse says as he and Yataro starts running too. As they get closer they see an old person fighting with Burgess. Teach stays back laughing like a maniac. "Blackbeard!" Jacks yells as he gets closer. He jumps and kicks Blackbeard away. "Who the hell are you?" Teach says. "Let me refresh your memory like I used to before." Jacks says while cracking his knuckles. "What do you mean. Who are you?!" Teach yells. "Shut your cake hole you oversized pig." Jacks smiles widely. Jacks runs and grabs Teach by his collar and starts pounding him into the ground. The aura around his starts getting darker and his punches started getting heavier. The ground cracked every time he punched Teach into the ground. Burgess stops in his tracks. Shoves the old man away and runs towards Jacks. "You. Get off our Captain." Burgess yells as he runs towards them. Yataro and Fuse cuts him off. "You're not getting in our Captain's way, you Steroid Freak." Yataro and Fuse says as they kick him away. Beaten unconscious, Teach couldn't do anything. His crewmates slowly backed away from him. Burgess gets up again. Jacks stops punching Teach. "If you take even one more step closer, I'll rip your limbs apart and beat you to death with them." Jacks says in a low voice. Scared stiff, Burgess steps back. Jacks continued beating up Teach. He punches and kicks his face in. "If you keep on doing that, you'll be no better than him." The old man says. "Keep your opinions to yourself. I'm not Batman. I came here to kill this sack of potatoes." Jacks yells as he punches harder. Out of nowhere, Garp punches Jacks which sends him flying. "Calm down." Garp yells. "You all should calm down." The old man says. He does something with his hands and the whole place lights up. Everyone except Garp disappears. "Where the hell did you all go?" Garp says searching around.
* On the next island *
"Who was that asshole?" Teach says getting up. All bloodied up, his face was beaten unrecognizable. "I don't know." Burgess says. "Next time I see him. He's dead meat. Tch. Because of him, we lost that old bastard too." Teach says.
* Back on Jacks' ship *
"Calm down kid. Letting yourself go to anger wouldn't help with anything." The old man says. "What do you know of what he did to me. To everyone closer to me?" Jacks yells. "Jacks. I know better than anyone." The old man says. Shocked Jacks looks at him. "Shinzo-san?" Jacks says. "Yes. I'm glad to see that you're alive and well. They have been saying you were dead." The old man says. "Uh Captain? Who's this old man?" Miyara asks. "Ryūzaki Shinzo. He mentored me and made me who I am today." Jacks says. The whole crew shows a shocked expression. "Is he related to Yasutake-san?" Miyara asks. "Sadly yeah. They're both siblings and always fighting for the Shinzo name." Jacks laughs. "Jacks. You let your anger get to you. That's not what I taught you. Always have a clear mind." Shinzo starts. "Yeah yeah sensei. Always have a clear mind, never let your demon withhold your true potential. I didn't forget." Jacks says. Shinzo punches Jacks on the head. "Never interrupt me." Shinzo says. He ruffles his hair. "I'm glad you're alive Jacks. Now I need you to head back to the Sabaody Archipelago. Rayleigh is waiting for you there." Shinzo says. "Rayleigh-san is alive too?" Jacks asks. "Who can kill him. Haha. It's time you went and met him. I'm afraid you won't get a hold of Red-Haired for now." Shinzo says. "But why not?" Jacks asks. "No questions. Just go meet Rayleigh. I'll make sure you and Red-Haired meet." Shinzo says as he walks away. "Thank you Sensei. For everything you have done." Jacks says. "Just work on your emotions training Jacks. I won't always be there." Shinzo says as he disappeared into thin air. "What. Where'd he go?" Watabe asks. "It's his thing. I never figured that out too." Jacks says. "He's just hanging onto the side of the ship." Yataro says looking below the side of the ship. Shinzo drops down into a dinghy and sails away. "Weird old man." Yataro mumbles. "Guess we're going back to the Sabaody Archipelago." Miyara says.
"Brr. It's too damn cold." Jacks yells. The ship sails towards the Sabaody Archipelago. They reached the start of the new world. "You know what? We're taking a shortcut. Miyara! Keep the ship straight towards Sabaody." Jacks yells as he starts jogging towards the back of the ship. "What's he going to do?" Yataro asks. Miyara assumes where Sabaody is and tells Jacks that it's done. "Now hold on to some place and hold on like your life depends on it. Because, maybe it does." Jacks smiles. He lifts his handbup and straightens his palm towards the sail of the ship. "Oh hell no. He's not going to do what I think he is, is he?" Watabe says. "Good thing Kyoko is inside." Miyara says. Jacks starts pulling his arm back. "Here we go!" Jacks yells as he swings his arm at full power. A few seconds goes by. Jacks gets ready for a second punch. "Ay. Why's the Captain winding up again? Someone's going to get blown away, isn't it?" Watabe yells. Jacks pulls his arms back and swings his arms towards the main sail a few times at full power. The whole crew looks at Jacks in horror. Suddenly a huge burst of wind hits the main sail and the ship starts sailing faster. Following the first burst of wind, countless others followed and the ship starts flying. It zooms past countless islands. "You'll pay for this you numbskull." Yataro tells. Miyara looks back to see Jacks smashed into the railings. "What happened to you Captain?" Miyara yells. "I miscalculated and I ended up falling when the punch hit the sail." Jacks yells. Suddenly Goro comes flying towards Jacks. "Goro! I told you to hold on!" Jacks yells. "Captain! I didn't hear you!" Goro yells back. His feet gets tangled on some rogue ropes and starts hanging on the back of the ship in midair. The ship crashes into the water near Sabaody Archipelago. "Haha! We're here." Jacks yells. The rest of the crew were busy throwing up. But everyone still managed to give him a thumbs up.
"Hey! Whose big idea was it to blast the ship into the air?" Kyoko yells. Everyone stayed in a straight line with their heads down. "Why am I in this line?" Jacks yells. "You're the culprit here!" Everyone yells. "Oh yeah. Hehe." Jacks laughs. "Tch. I can't even do anything about him." Kyoko thought to herself. "Well, let's go find Rayleigh." Jacks says as he gets up. "You!" Kyoko yells as she started walking towards him. "Oh shit." Jacks says as he jumps the railing and runs into the island at top speed. "Now. He's lost. Let's just go to the island." Miyara says as he packed a small bag.
*On the east side of the island *
Jacks slows down when he reaches a pathway. He started walking slowly towards the town. He crashes into someone and they both fall down. "Hey! Look at where you're walking!" The person yells. "Sorry sorry." Jacks apologizes. "Don't you know who I am? I'm Straw Hat Luffy." The person yells. Surprised Jacks looks at him. He looks fat and wears a cheap straw hat knock off. "But. You don't look anything like him." Jacks says. The person glares at him and points his pistol towards him. "Who the hell are you?" The person asks. "Somebody you shouldn't aim that thing at." Jacks says. He suddenly kicks him in the face. Grabs him by the collar and picks him up. Dust him off and stands him straight. Jacks pulls his leg back and kicks him with his full strength. The person goes flying into the bushes and disappears. "Annoying piece of crap." Jacks says to himself and starts walking towards the town. "Rayleigh. Now where can I find him in this huge island." Jacks says to himself. "Ah. Shakky. She might be able to tell me where he is." Jacks says as he runs into the town. He asks around if they saw a woman that looks like her. But nobody seems to have seen her. "Hmm. Maybe she changed a lot in these years." Jacks says to himself. His stomach starts growling. He rubs his stomach as he goes around looking for a place to eat. He pushes aside two people with a green and yellow hairdo. "Tch. Kids with their weird hair trends nowadays. Ah. I sound like an old person right now. Ah. Food!" Jacks yells and starts running. He skids to a stop and starts looking around. He sees a bar and starts running towards it. Suddenly the person posing as Luffy jumps in front of him. "You're not getting away this time!" He yells as he starts swinging his arms vigorously. "Tch. Just get out of my sight already." Jacks says as he punches him out of the way. The fake luffy goes flying into some barrels. Jacks runs towards the bar at full speed. Without looking at the sign he rushes in. Then starts yelling for food. "Alright alright. Stop yelling and tell me what you want." Shakky yells at Jacks. Not noticing who it was, Jacks yells his order. "Hey! Would you stop yelling?" Shakky yells at him in anger. Taking a good look at her, Jacks gets surprised. "Shakky?!" Jacks yells. "Yeah. And who are you?" Shakky yells at him. "It's Jacks. The kid with the neverending supply of energy." Jacks yells. "Listen here bastard. I only know of one Jacks. And he's supposed to be dead. So tell me just who the hell you really are. Or get ready to be beaten into something worse than a pulp." Shakky grabs Jacks by the collar. "Haha. You haven't changed much from back when you were in Rocks crew." Jacks says calmly. "Is it really you?" Shakky says letting go of his collar. Eyes filled with tears, her hands starts shaking. Slowly Shakky pats Jacks on his head. And smashes his head into the counter. "You asshole. Where the hell do you think you have been hiding all this time. Do you know just how much everyone searched for you? I had to deal with your annoying father twice. Tch." Shakky yells. "Aah. You all were worried about me?" Jacks says lifting his head out of the debris like nothing happened. "I was held prisoner by the marines. After they caught me using their cowardly ways of course. I got free a few months ago." Jacks says. Shakky ruffles up his hair. "We all missed you kiddo. And Rayleigh has been waiting for you. He's mad that you didn't visit him first." Shakky laughs. "Where's Rayleigh-san? Shinzo-san said he's waiting for me." Jacks says. "Well. At the moment. Rayleigh is training your younger generation. Your nephew." Shakky says. "Luffy? Oh yeah I haven't seen him since the war. How is he?" Jacks says. "Well. He was in a bad shape since his only brother died. But he's progressing through." Shakky explains. "Oh. I'll wait for him here. And oh, yeah. My crew will be here within the next few hours so I'll stay back here for a while." Jacks says. "Uhh... Jacks? Crew?" Shakky asks. "Oh yeah. I picked up a few able bodied pirates along the way. They remind me of the old crew. But they're weaker still. Haha." Jacks laughs. "Oh you. Still clinging on to that positivity, aren't you?" Shakky asks. "How do you think my face is still looking so young?" Jacks laughs. "Tch." Shakky says. Jacks waits and eats at Shakky's bar.
* Near the town's entrance *
"Ah! The Captain's gone on his own and now we don't know where he would be." Miyara says. "Knowing him, he'd be stuffing his face at some bar." Yataro says. "Let's ask around for Rayleigh-san then." Kyoko says. She starts walking towards a group of people. Yataro holds her back by her elbow. "What do you think you're doing? We can't just casually ask anybody for someone like the Dark King. We have to lay low and maybe, just maybe we'll run into Captain." Yataro says. They all nod and walk into the town. "Search for anybody who looks like our Captain or something like an aftermath of a place our Captain might have gone through. He tends to leave a lot of destruction behind somehow." Miyara lets out a chuckle. They all start searching up and down. A few of the strangers start giving them stares. They stumble upon Shakky's bar. "Hey. Do you think he'd be in there? That dumbhead wouldn't care to read the name. If it said Bar, I think he'll just rush in there." Kyoko says. "True, true." Miyara says. They all walk inside the bar and see Jacks conversing with the bartender. "There he is. Already stuffing his face, I see." Kyoko says as she starts walking towards Jacks. "Well well. What's a cutie like you doing here? And with a rowdy group as well I see." A stranger cuts her off from her path. "What's it to you, filthy pirate. Get out of my way." Kyoko says in anger and tries to push him away. He grabs onto her arm and pulls her closer. Yataro and the rest of the crew reacts to the crew with hostility. The pirate puts a gun to Kyoko's head. "Tch tch. Now, now, think about this with a clear head. Make any wrong move, I'll blast her head off. Not like I want to do that. But, it seems like you lot might have lots of treasure. Or should I just say riches cause that makes more sense. Every single one of you looks like you have deep pockets. So how about emptying them for this cutie?" The pirate says. While Kyoko tries wiggling out of his grasp, the pirate holds her tighter.
"Now, Now! What are these fools trying to do in my bar?" Shakky says. Jacks looks up from the plate of food and looks at the commotion. "Dante?" Jacks says. "You know these troublemakers?" Shakky asks. "That's my crewmate that bastard is holding hostage." Jacks says. Jacks swallows the food in his mouth and slowly gets up. "Give me a second Shakky." Jacks says as he slowly walks towards them. He grabs the pirate by his shoulder and pulls him closer. The pirate lets go of Kyoko and gives a pissed off look at Jacks. "The F**k are you doing, you B**ch." The pirate says. "Oe oe. What a filthy mouth you got there. Let me fix that." Jacks says as he punches him in his mouth. "You f****** a******. I'm bleeding from my mouth. And I'm missing a few teeth. What the f*** are you gonna." The pirate's words are cut short by Jacks. He punches him one final time with all his strength. He goes flying out the door. "Now, now. What foul language. There would be kids reading this. Now behave." Jacks says in a serious manner. Kyoko runs towards Jacks and hugs him. "Why're you so clingy all of a sudden." Jacks says in a surprised way. "Guys. I want you to meet somebody. Kyoko can you. Stop. Aghh." Jacks says trying to get Kyoko off from him. He eventually gives up and sits near the bar still being hugged by Kyoko. "Hey Shakky. Meet my crew. That's Miyara, Dante, Watane, Fuse, Ieyoshi, Goro and here's Kyoko. There's still a few of them back at the ship. Everybody, meet Shakky. Rayleigh-san's wife." Jacks introduces everybody. "Rayleigh-san's wife?" Everybody goes into a temporary shock. "Yes. It's nice to meet you all. I hope this meathead is taking good care of you all." Shakky says with a smile. Everybody sits down near the bar and starts conversing with Shakky. "Seems like some of you have met the Straw Hats, haven't you?" Shakky asks. "In one way or the other, we've met each other. But we haven't been able to even start a conversation." Miyara says. "Why not go with Rayleigh and teach your nephew a few tricks so he won't die before be becomes the King of Pirates." Shakky says. "He wants to become the King of Pirates?" Jacks asks. "Yeah. He keeps on going on and on about that. I will become the King of Pirates." Shakky says laughing. "Knowing Dragon, he would have left Luffy with Dad. Because what was most important to him was gis crusade for justice. We're different in a lot of ways. And I, the great Jacks. Will mentor my nephew and make him stronger." Jacks says proudly. "You say that, but you've never beaten Rayleigh, now have you?" Shakky asks. Jacks sits back down and chugs on the beer while glaring at Shakky.
Suddenly a shiver runs down Jacks spine. Excited, he jumps on the chair. "No standing on the furniture." A mysterious voice says as they grab Jacks and pin him into the ground. "Rayleigh-san!" Jacks yells. "You never change do you, you big ball of energy." Rayleigh says as he sits down beside Jacks. Surprised, Yataro and the rest of the crew stay frozen and speechless. "I'm really sorry I didn't come to visit sooner. But Rayleigh-san, you're a hard man to find. And somehow, Shanks is harder to find." Jacks says. "But I see you ran into Buggy. They've been making a name for themselves. But before all that." Rayleigh balls his fists. "Where the hell do you think you have been all this time." Rayleigh punches Jacks. Jacks goes flying through the wall. "Ah sorry." Jacks apologizes as he gets up from a person. "It's alright. Just be careful in the future." The person says. "Will do, you handsome looking man." Jacks says as he rushes outside. "Sorry, I lost my cool. But we have searched for you that much. We had to stop the Captain from taking down the marine bases one after another." Rayleigh says. "Ah sorry. But I got captured. I've been out for a few months now." Jackd says. "Yeah. I heard it all." Rayleigh scratches his head. "Hey, Rayleigh-san? I'd like to accompany you and give my nephew some pointers. He will need it." Jacks says. "Of course you are. I can't drag Dragon here to make him have quality time with his son. But I sure can force you on him so he won't die in the future." Rayleigh says. "Ahah. When are we leaving?" Jacks says. Jacks sits down on a chair. "Right now of course."
