Chapitre 10: Chapter 10: Home

Sage and Nikolas’s coven sat in a large and quiet clearing of a forest. Many of the cottages were clustered around a town center where they could gather for spells. Behind the cottages were impressive gardens, with each witch or warlock’s specialty herb. The entire town smelled of sage, mint, rosemary, and lavender.

Sage took in a deep breath of air as they rode in. She was excited to be home. The sense of belonging and safety washed over her with a soothing embrace. She glanced at Nikolas who seemed equally relieved to be back.

“Want to meet up in an hour for lunch? We can have a picnic by the stream,” he offered.

“Definitely. See you in a bit.” They rode off in separate directions toward their own homes.

Sage’s house was at the end of the clearing, in a nook of its own. Her mother’s garden was one of the largest in the coven. Their house had been taken over by vines a long time ago and in their backyard was a tall oak surrounded by additional plants.
