It was so damn easy to make a mistake in love and for Lina it was loving the wrong person. Trusting and loving her ex-husband, James Brown.

Charismatic, aristocratic and loving were only but a few of the many deceptive ways he had lured and ensnared her in the shackles called marriage.

With his promises of love and forever he had charmed her, and she had loved him till she couldn't. She couldn't remember exactly when she had stopped loving him.

Maybe it was the second time he had kicked a baby a baby out of her womb, or the fifth time he had come reeking of female cologne, which weren't hers. The memories were foggy to recall, or maybe it was just her mind clouding as she tried to recall — recall the horrible days of her life and marriage.

The cup was warm and finding the heat distractive, she channeled her mind towards it, drawing whatever strength she could to walk down this lane of pain and regret.
