"Are you ready?" Philipa asked when Lina walked out to the counter with what she believed was the last box of pastries she had made for Pete Hudson.

"Yes, 150 pastries to go." Lina answered and placed the box on the counter.

"And this?" Philipa tipped her head toward the small gift bag in her hand.

Lina glanced at it and effected a shrug. "Just something." She said with a casual note, but Philipa gave her a suspicious look.

It wasn't just something. It was her special chocolate cake, and she had used her grandmother's special recipe in making it. She suspected who she might have made it for, but if she wasn't saying, then she wouldn't ask.

She skimmed her gaze through the boxes. "How do you intend getting these delivered? Have you called Pete?"
