Selena's POV

I was panting when I reached the bus stop, and I felt glad Skyler didn't run after me. I wished to be with him, but the pain I had been through was enough reason to stay away from him, and I don't care if I have to hide from him; I will never give Skyler another chance to hurt me.

I mounted the bus and sat on the farthest side at the back so no one would disturb me. I watched the hustle and bustle of the city as I passed the establishments in Santa Clara filled with customers busy buying for their needs for the new year.

I don't know how to survive new year's Day with Skyler at the Alcarazo mansion. I didn't even glance at his house as I passed by this morning. I don't want to see him on the balcony of his room shirtless. It would be my weakness, I wanted Skyler to be the only boy for me, but he shattered my heart.
