"Most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and never explained." - Unknown.
Have you ever been in a scenario when folks abandoned you without even saying goodbye? Without a proper send-off? It's not very prevalent in our mundane world. However, when it comes to the game industry, people do go without saying anything. You can delete the useless files accumulated on your phone's storage in just a few seconds. People, of course, place higher importance on their real lives. I'm not going to say it's incorrect. Even if we are only online pals, we require a dignified farewell. We need to know that you left of your own accord and not because of something unfortunate that happened to you.
"Yeol, will you be my in-game bond partner?" wrote Anonymous in world chat.
"What?" Yeol was stunned.
"Hmm...just as we suspected." Naru, Elegant, and Rush wrote in guild chat.
"What's the matter with you? I approached her because I needed to gain authority. There's no need to make a big deal about it, "Anonymous yelled in faction chat.
"But why Yeol? Why would you not ask me if I am second on the leaderboard and have a female gunner character? If you wanted to get stronger, wouldn't I be a better candidate? "Elegantly, I queried.
"Exactly," Naru said.
"Well, that's true," Jayson wrote.
*In Global Chat* "I'm not sure what the in-game bond is. Would you mind explaining first? "Yeol wrote.
"Ya, you won't be familiar with it. The in-game bond unlocks at level 213. You are still at level 180. Yeol, you need to level up quickly," wrote anonymous.
"Sure then. I am going to level soon," exclaimed Yeol.
"I will wait for you to be level 213 soon then." wrote Anonymous.
"You got DM for this. Go do this buzzes in DM, don't show PDA(public display of affection) in world chat." wrote Manami.
"Hey, Manami. You are at level 200. More 13 levels to go. You will be my in-game bond partner." wrote Jayson with some shy emoticons.
"When did I agree on that?" inquired Manami.
"Manami will be my in-game partner," ordered Rush.
"Not even in your wildest fantasies." Sky challenged him.
There was no question that everyone adored Manami. Due to her enjoyment of fame and the people around her, she was an extroverted personality. Although Yeol stood directly opposite her, she was still capable of gathering the attention of a large number of players simply by her icy demeanor. Maybe this is what intimidated Anonymous.
System Message -*Nine-floor viper is about to start in five minutes, players ready*
"Nine-floor viper? What is the nature of the event? "Manami queried in global chat.
"Anonymous, as a beta player, is the only one who can help us. Nobody else is aware of it. "Rush responded to the inquiry.
"Why do you all want to know ahead of time? Wait five minutes. You'll find out about it shortly, "Anonymous wrote.
*In Anonymous's DM*
"Do you want me to be your in-game bonding partner?" Yeol wrote in his DM.
"In particular, I'd wait till you reached level 213," Anonymous responded.
Sure thing, no issue, if I continue with the storyline. I'll shortly reach level 200. I'm guessing I'll be at level 213 by tomorrow. But why did you choose me? I'm not familiar with the game." Yeol questioned once more.
"First and foremost, I am at ease with you. Instead of making some random person my in-game companion, I'd prefer to go with you. Second, I require a companion since it supplies the 'Love Lock' gear. You can't get that stuff unless you have an in-game buddy. It's almost like a system gift. It increases a player's attack and HP, which I require, as I concentrate on the defensive and piercing build. I require a temporary source to raise my attacks and HP as well. That would come from a love lock." Anonymous elaborated.
"I see. Now I realize how crucial it is to have a build, stats, and gears." Yeol posted.
"There is still a great deal to learn. You will soon have more on your plate. Until then, attempt to keep up with the gameplay. MMORPGs have their world. By the way, I'll be leaving after the events. When you reach level 213, we shall have a bonding ceremony. Maybe it would be by tomorrow, "Anonymous wrote.
"Sure, Anonymous," Yeol said.
"May I bother you a little longer?"
"Sure, what exactly is it?" Anonymous had a question.
"Umm...I recently attained level 190 and unlocked the Rune system. Could you please tell me what that is?"
"As a function, the Rune system is a type of direct stat system. It is essential to your build. Changing a few runes can change your strategy. I'd want to explain further, but the event begins in two minutes. It is correspondingly impossible to describe the rune system in two minutes. I'm hoping you won't mind if I explain after the event." Anonymous attempted to provide a quick suggestion.
"Sure thing, no problem. Anyway, I'd want to understand more about it after the event, "In agreement, Yeol wrote.
*One minute for a Nine-floor viper. Players, please be ready in the lobby area.*
Everyone entered the lobby area, eager to participate in a new event. So, in essence, a Nine-floor viper is an event that delivers a rune box, EXP, and bound ingots as a present. If a player finishes in the top 10, they will earn ten purple rune boxes and fifty bound Ingots. The top three players will receive the title of 'Viper King' for two days. Every other day is a nine-floor viper event. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are the days. Everyone must attain particular kill points to play the nine-floor viper. To elaborate, a player on the first floor must kill two vipers or players to get two kill points, while a player on the second floor must earn three kill points. They need four kill points for the third, and the numbers increase as the decks rise. On the ninth floor, competitors must score ten kill points. There was an advantage for players with good stats; whenever a person kills another player, they gain two kill points, and if they kill a viper, they get one kill point. In other words, high-stat players can conquer weaker opponents for two kill points, putting them ahead in the game. Even if they die, weak players will not be stripped away from the tournament and will be able to participate again. There is a resurrection point on every floor where players can reincarnate. They have two options: resurrect instantly with 20 Bound Ingots or free respawning after an eight-second timeframe. Because each deck contains a respawning location, they can resume the floors from where they perished. Consequently, they would avoid stumbling upon the first floor.
"Guys, now read the directions on the event specifics. You were all curious about the nine-floor viper, right?" Anonymous wrote in zone chat.
*thirty seconds remaining*
The event has begun.
The Tale to be continued...
