CHAPTER 67 – My Duty To Protect You

She did not need to warn them again before they knew what was good for them and scurried off. 

Her chest rose with every deep breath she took with her eyes still glued to the door watching to see how far away from her home they had gotten.

She did not want to see them close to her house again but most importantly she wished to know how Cairo had come about his injury. 

Seeing her brother just a while ago with such, made her heart clench so hard in its chest. 

Even though they lived alone and did some not-so-nice work, she ensured they avoided problems like a plague. 

Thanks to the debt left from having tried to treat her parents before they died, they were assaulted a bit by some men which led her to work at the innkeeper's shop and her brother work for the bone man.

Since then, this was the first time she had seen any form of injury on her brother's skin.
