Chapitre 8: She Left?

Chapter 8 - She Left?

"Ahahaaha" A sound of laughter broke in the streets and at the center two kids could be seen looking at each other and smiling.

After having a meal that had filled their stomachs to the brim, both of them left after Long Yuan paid for their meal. They returned to the park where they first met. This time they were a lot more comfortable with each other.

"Shall we ride the swings?" Long Yuan asked Na'er with a curious look in his eyes.

"Mm.." Na'er replied while showing a bright smile on her face. For some reason, she felt comfortable being with Long Yuan. And felt that she could open up to him even though they only met a while ago.

Long Yuan then escorted Na'er to the swings and began pushing her gently so that the swing would go forward. On seeing Na'er smiling brightly he felt a sensation of his heart being filled each time he saw Na'er's bright smile and wanted to make her smile more brightly in the future as well.

"Oh Na'er now that I think about it how old are you?" Long Yuan asked Na'er while he was still pushing her to make her swing ride enjoyable.

"5 and a half" Na'er replied after thinking about it for a while. It seemed that she could not remember things properly and had difficulty remembering even stuff like how old she was or where she came from.

"I'm 6 years old. So you should call me brother yuan from now on." Long Yuan told Na'er with a smug expression on his face.

"Hmph." Na'er replied to what he said with a pout which made Long Yuan think in his mind again that she is cute even when she is angry.

Something struck his mind and he suddenly stopped pushing the swing and made it stop he looked into Na'er eyes and asked her

"Do you know where you came from?"

"No.." Na'er replied.

"Do you remember anything about who your parents are, what they do, or something like that?" Long Yuan tried again.

"No…" Na'er replied to his question again.

"So do you want to come with me to my home?" Long Yuan asked her after he thought about it for a while he was sure that his father could find Na'er's mother given that he is a businessman and also they could contact the proper authorities. Moreover, Long Yuan did not want to go their separate ways yet and wanted to keep Na'er near him and look after her.

"En." Na'er replied while looking up to face Long Yuan and smiled brightly.

"Then let's go now! I'll introduce you to my father!" Long Yuan told Na'er enthusiastically and grabbed Na'ers hand making her get up and they both started to walk toward where Tiangong was.

It was almost evening time and Long Yuan realized that he was out for way too long and wondered whether his father was worried and started to rush toward Tiangong. He did not notice that his grip on Na'er hands was loosening and at some point, he was running on his own believing that Na'er was following him behind as he was not running very fastly, to begin with.

"Na'er welcome to TianGong" Long Yuan turned back to face Na'er after arriving at their destination which was TianGong but he soon found out that Na'er was not behind him. He panicked thinking that maybe she might have lost her way to TianGong and ran back from where he came from. He looked hard for Na'er, But he could not find her no matter what. He ran and ran and ran. He went back to the park where he first met her but there was still no clue about her.

The sun had already gone down and Long Yuan sat in the swing riding it all alone. He blamed himself for not looking after Na'er properly and cursed his past self who wanted to rush back home to not worry his father. And promised himself that he would always keep a calm mind and think things over before acting.

Long Yuan heard the footsteps of a person running. He could also hear that person panting but could not see clearly because of how dark it was. The man soon walked near him and Long Yuan was able to see him clearly.

It was a middle-aged man who seemed as if he ran a lot and was panting hard.

"Yuan'er where were you? Why did you leave without informing us of anything?!?!" The middle-aged man asked Long Yuan with worry apparent in his eyes.

"I'm sorry father." Long Yuan replied while tightening his grip on the swing. He did not want to show his father what face he was making right now.

Lin Tian noticed that his son was not in the right state of mind and took a deep breath to calm himself down. He sat down in a swing next to his son and asked him calmly about what happened. Long Yuan replied to him telling him all about what happened today with the girl he met at this very same park today and how she had big eyes and long eyelashes just like him. And went on telling his father about what they did with a slight smile on his face.

"So you made a new little friend. Where is she?" Lin Tian asked his son calmly, letting him explain what happened at his own pace.

"This…" Long Yuan made a complicated expression on his face. He told his father that her name was Na'er and that she could not remember where she came from and who her parents were. And then later explained to his father that when they were on their way to TianGong he took back the hand which was holding on to Na'er's and she went missing. He also told his father that he looked for her a lot after that and started crying.

"Son, It's fine. Don't worry now. You must remember that it is important to remain calm and collected in all kinds of situations so that you don't lose sight of what's important to you" Lin Tian took Long Yuan into his arms and started steadily patting his head. Lin Tian felt complicated inside he did not want his son to go through the feeling of losing something important this early in life.

"Son, Let's go back home. Father will try his best to find Na'er for you" Lin Tian told his son trying to console him. Long Yuan soon fell asleep in his father's arms and Lin Tian took him back home and explained the situation to Mei Gong, Who was worried sick about her son who went missing and now was even more worried as her son went through something difficult.

"Honey, Won't it be difficult for our son if we were to leave him as he is right now?" Mei Gong asked her husband while showing a worried expression on her face. She looked as if she was going to cry.

"Don't worry Mei, our son will be able to handle all sorts of hardships but right now I should focus on trying to find that girl for him so he has less to worry about." Lin Tian told his wife while showing a determined expression on her face.

"Please come back soon." Mei gong told Lin tian then headed off to Long Yuan's bedroom to lay him there.

"Yuan'er I hope you won't hate us. I will always love you as your mother." Mei Gong told her son while placing her lips against his forehead. She wept slightly and left for her room to not disturb her son who was sleeping.
