Aiden was grateful that Ryan managed to recover the satchel that the former left behind at Evergreen Hotel.
Inside the satchel was his phone, which ran out of battery more than a day ago.
As soon as Aiden managed to connect it to a charging station and switched it on, he found a lot of messages and unanswered missed calls.
There were some messages and calls that came from his grandmother who asked whether he already went back to Harrow Lane safely.
A lot of them came from Jerry, who was frantic about Aiden's sudden disappearance.
He had the right to panic because he was the one who offered Aiden the cleaning job at Evergreen Hotel that weekend.
The Tanner family had relatives who worked at Evergreen Hotel. That weekend, Mr. Mark Parsons arranged for an abrupt banquet with very little time left for preparation.
Jerry's parents were hired to help out in the kitchen, Jerry was hired as a server, while Aiden got the cleaning job.
