Chapitre 144: Place to Place

Seeing Damien's bashful expression made her giggle uncontrollably.

"When did the great ex-Alpha Damien ever worry about what others think?" Safira mused as she placed her hands on her hips.

Without waiting for him to respond, Safira shifted back into her wolf form and nudged Damien. He didn't have a chance to say no. Once she was sure he was seated comfortably on her back, they departed the forest clearing they were in.

This was the first time Damien had ever sat on the back of another wolf. He held on tightly to Safira's fur, feeling the wind against his skin. In fact, he was so comfortable that he eventually felt drowsy and fell soundly asleep.

As soon as she noticed this, Safira slowed down her pacing. She didn't want her mate to fall off her back. The forest was quiet all around them. She could only hear the occasional breeze, rustling of leaves, or the crumpling of them beneath her paws.
