Chapitre 140: Here With You

From the moment he woke up, Damien wanted to see Safira. As memories of what happened resurfaced in his mind, he knew things would never be the same. Despite Markus not fighting fair, he still lost the fight.

By the rules, he had to relinquish his seat as Alpha of Obsidian Howl. But that was not the only thing he lost that day. The moment he attempted to get out of bed, Damien fell to the ground.

"I'm sorry, My Alpha. We did the best we could to save your legs but…" the healers could barely piece their words together without stuttering.

The wounds on his legs were difficult to heal, especially when they'd almost been ripped to shreds.

Pain shot through his entire being with each step he took. Damien refused to be on bed rest for too long. He knew he had to practice walking as soon as possible. He refused any help too.

"Where's Luna Safira?" He had asked them, desperate to know where his mate was.

A part of him wanted nothing more than to see her.
