"I know," Damien nodded.

"No, you don't," Safira continued.

She got up from the position she was laying in and straddled him. She leaned in close and cupped his cheeks with both hands.

"Nothing else matters to me. The Supreme Alpha Ascension means nothing to me. I couldn't care less about the power struggles between the Alphas. You are my everything, Starlight. Only you matter. I will support you in everything you do, but at the end of the day, your well-being is my priority."

Damien wrapped his arms around Safira's waist. He pulled her in just a little closer as he straightened his back. Their bodies were touching, though neither of them was shy about it.

They were already mated after all.

"Thank you, Sunshine," he replied as Safira moved her hands to wrap them around his neck instead.
