Chapitre 42: Mission Impossible (9)

Aaron and Diana kept hidden waiting for the night. They could notice the guards still strolling around looking for them.

- Father is so persistent, he won't stop until he finds us. I don't know what I would say to him if he catches me.

- He is still your father. I don't think he will harm you in any way.

- You don't know how scary he is, especially if we broke the rules. I doubted sometimes that he loves us. All he cares about is the land and his reputation.

- Don't say that! He is a father and I'm sure that he loves you so much. You should appreciate him.

Diana's face suddenly turned Sad:

- I wish my father was still alive. Life won't be this hard if he was by my side.

- You said your father died. What about the rest of your family?

- My mother got married to another man, a couple of years ago, and she left me in my aunt's house. She had never asked about me or called me. It was painful, very painful.

- Didn't you see her again?
