"What do you think you're doing with that woman?!" Ismay's voice cut through the air as she forcefully shoved Florence against the wall.

"Are you referring to Hallie? What's your problem with her?"

"She's a noble! An earl who enjoys condescending to commoners. And she's friends with that wretched girl!" Ismay spat out angrily.

"She's not a bad person. I believe she's genuinely kind."

Ismay grabbed hold of Florence's shirt, her grip tight as she hissed, "No noble is good. They hold our fate in their hands with a mere flick! You'll see, that girl will inevitably disappoint you!"

Florence cast her gaze downward, gathering her courage before speaking softly, "Ismay... Maybe your hatred blinds you."

"Huh?" Ismay uttered in surprise.

"Not all nobles disdain others. Perhaps Hallie does look down on me, but deep down, I think she just wants a normal friend. You'd better get over your hatred and try to open your eyes a little more,"
