Chapitre 54: Out Of The Dungeon

Bile rose from her empty stomach, she immediately force it down her throat. "P-please pu-put me down!" Came the weak voice of hers from behind, but the man seemed to pay no heed as he continued to walk as if she had never spoken in the first place.

With a snap on his finger, Adrien tried to teleport back to his room.

"Arghh!" Alicia wince with a cry as she clutched onto the man's armor tightly. She tried not to cry, afraid that the same power of hers would repeat and hurt the man who had come to help her.

To Adrien's surprise, his power didn't work. He was forcibly pushed back having him stagger on his feet.

"F*ck! There's spellbind placed around the dungeon walls," he muttered as he cursed. "You damn witches!" He spat in anger.

"This might hurt bad, but try to bear with it," he said as he tapped Alicia's calf muscles indicating that he was talking to her.

Alicia felt her whole energy being drained with exhaustion as time passed by failing in her listening to what Adrien had warned. The tap on her leg brought her back from her dizziness. Her hum gave Adrien a green sign for him to use his full power on teleporting out of the dungeon.

Adrien knew that using his ultimate power on teleportation despite the spellbind holding them back was a very risky move with Alicia tugging onto him. But what could he do when he had no other choice but to escape the dungeon?

There was no doubt that it was only a few minutes before the guards would find them if they would stay any longer.

Adrien concentrated all of his attention on teleporting them out of the dungeon, an intent expression in his eyes. He extended his hand to firmly hold Alicia's hand as he felt the surge of strength rising within him.

He urged her to "hold on tight," with his voice frantic.

But before Alicia could register what left his mouth, the world around them seemed to blur and twist. She felt something strange all over her body, the powerful force pulling her from every side, her skin felt so like burning. It was as if they were being torn apart from her being and she felt her soul like they were being split and being sucked away from her body.

Everything felt so overwhelming that she could not help but shriek so rawly out of pain. Her clutch around Adrien's tightened. She struggled to keep hold of the one thing that kept her connected to reality and to keep her grip. She attempted with every ounce of strength in her body to will herself to withstand, to endure the barrage of magic that threatened to shatter her. And just as Alicia was about to lose it, the swirling vortex started to calm down.

The teleportation had taken a longer time than Adrien had anticipated. He staggered back on his feet, grunting as he gritted his teeth, holding Alicia on his shoulder, trying not to tighten the hold around her.

"Master!"

He heard the faint voice of his aide, but he could not register it. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, trying to regain his composure. As his eyes snapped open, he heard the profuse coughing from the girl on his shoulder and the violent tremor of her body.

Adrien patted her on the back as he walked over toward his enormous bed, and laid Alicia, positioning her on her front as he had already guessed the girl was injured on the back.

"Delbert, go, get the first aid box!" He ordered wasting no time.

Seeing his aide walk away and the sound of the door shut, his eyes snapped on the girl who was still coughing. It wasn't just a cough, but along with it followed the blood staining the black sheets of the bed. When his already darkened eyes fell on the thin fabric soaked in red and ripped open, his jaws ticked at the sight.

He clenched his hand as he saw her fingers curled onto the sheets tighter as if to suppress the pain with her tightly closed eyes. His eyes trailed upon the beads of sweat that formed on her face and fell on the silver belt that he had seen earlier but had thought of taking it off after escaping the dungeon.

He saw her scrunch her face as she wrapped the other hand around the choker belt as if trying to take it off with those heavy breaths that left her lips. Stepping forward Adrien sat on the edge of the bed, his hands reaching toward the belt as he slid the mucky blonde hair staining his already blood-stained hand from carrying her on his shoulder.

Adrien lifted her head and laid her on his lap as he inspected the belt for its lock only to see it sealed.

When he heard someone knock on the door, he responded, "Come in."

It was Delbert, who had come in with a brown wooden box. He came in with haste, a troubled expression wore on his face as he spoke, "I've bought a dress for when she wants to change from the one she's wearing, as it is visibly torn and stained, Your Highness."

He paused for a moment before his eyes fell on the half-conscious girl lying on his master's bed in pain.

He paused for a moment before his eyes fell on the half-conscious girl lying on his master's bed in pain.

"Good." Adrien responded grimly, his eyes never left as he took the first aid box and the dress and placed on the side. "Get me the tool to get rid of this gag."

Delbert went and came back in a zap speed. Handing over the equipment toward Adrien, he stood by like a wall flower, waiting for any tasks given to him by his master.

"Is there anything I can help with, Your Highness?"

He observed his Master gently brushing away Alicia's hair and carefully tucking some strands that were hovering in front of her face. Though this was already unusual something more unexpected occurred in front of his eyes. Delbert's eyes went wide at the scene in front of him. He saw Adrien gently patting the girl who was half-consciously moaning in pain and the touch on the girl's cheeks for a brief moment.

"I will take care of her. You better keep an eye on the King and his minions," said Adrien, turning to look at his aide, knowing very well that the news would have already reached his father by now, given that he had broken the magic spell.

Delbert left, a bit dumbstrucked at what had happened, and wondered if he had merely imagined it due to his lack of sleep and weariness. He quietly nodded his head and muttered under his breath, "I must finish my task and better get some rest..."
