Chapitre 7: Chapter no.7 The Fire Blood Centipede

The darkness of my underground prison had been my only companion for so long that I had lost track of time. The damp and dimly lit chamber was musty with moss growing on the walls. The sound of dripping water echoed through the space, a constant reminder of my captivity. I had become numb to the world around me, my senses dulled by the endless darkness.
One day, as I paced the small confines of my cell, my hand brushed against the cold, rough stone wall. To my surprise, my fingers found a seam that I had never noticed before. I pressed on it, and to my amazement, a hidden compartment was revealed. I couldn't help but let out a gasp of excitement as I held out one of the luminous mushrooms.
As I peered into the box, my eyes were met with the sight of a giant centipede, unlike any I had ever seen before. Its body was long and segmented, with countless pairs of legs that were each as thick as my thumb. The creature was easily the size of a large dog, and its hard exoskeleton was a mottled brown and black, with intricate patterns etched into the surface. One its forehead was a crystal eye as I could see the faint outline of a strange symbol etched around its crystal eye. Its many legs were curled around its body, making it look like a sleeping dragon, waiting to be awakened.
I held my breath, not wanting to wake the creature, and slowly backed away. Suddenly, the millipede stirred and began to move. Its numerous legs scraped against the stone floor, and I could hear its breathing become more labored. I felt a sense of panic rise within me as I realized that I had awoken the creature. Its crystal eye opened, and I saw it glint in the dim light of the cell. I froze, not wanting to draw any more attention to myself.
The centipede's eyes scanned the cell, taking in its surroundings. It seemed to sense that something was different, that something had disturbed its slumber. As the creature focused on the luminous mushroom I had thrown away in shock, I realized that it was drawn to its light. The mushroom was the only source of light in the cell, and the centipede's eyes seemed to be locked onto it.
My heart pounded in my chest as I took another step back, my eyes fixed on the massive centipede that stood before me. The creature's multiple legs writhed in the dim light of the cell, its cold, unblinking eyes locked onto the luminous mushroom that was beginning to flicker.
A low rumble filled the chamber as the creature let out a warning hiss. I knew I had to act fast before the giant monster attacked me.
My mind raced, trying to come up with a plan. I looked around the cell, searching for something, anything to distract the creature. My eyes fell upon my worn shoes, and an idea formed in my mind.
I slowly removed my shoes, trying not to make a sound, and threw them towards the wall. The shoes made a soft thud as they hit the stone floor, and the creature turned its attention to the noise.
A searing sensation surged within me, an internal conflagration that coursed through my veins, resonating with a raw, primal power. I recalled the bandaged man's words – he named it "Qi," but the term held little meaning in my current turmoil. My chest began to emanate a luminous aura, bathing the desolate prison cell in a celestial light, not unlike the glow once emitted by that peculiar mushroom. Was this Qi intertwined with the fungus? My thoughts flitted briefly over the possibility, but I forced them away as I propelled myself toward the centipede, which recoiled, perhaps startled by the unexpected brilliance of the Qi enveloping me as I reached for the head of the centipede.
The centipede's numerous legs wrapped around my body, and I felt its sharp appendages puncture my skin. The pain was unbearable, but I refused to give up.
With a grunt, I slammed the creature against the walls of my cell, over and over again. The sound of its body hitting the stone reverberated through the chamber, echoing off the walls. The creature writhed in my grasp, its jaws snapping at the air as it tried to get a hold on me.
The creature bit my hand, and I felt the venom coursing through my veins. I let out a cry of pain, but my desperation gave me strength. With every ounce of energy I had left, I ragdolled the creature onto the walls again and again until it finally went limp.
Panting and covered in blood, I collapsed to the ground, my body shaking with exhaustion and pain. The memory of the monstrous centipede burned into my mind forever. The creature lay still on the floor, its many legs twisted and broken from the force of my attack.
An intense heat filled my chest as the poison spread through my body. I felt a sudden wave of weakness, and my legs buckled beneath me. I gasped for air, my heart racing as the venom worked its way through my system. This was no ordinary poison - it felt like a living thing, pulsing and writhing within me.
'Poison,' I thought to myself, the word echoing in my mind. I knew that if I didn't act fast, I would be lost to the darkness forever. But even as the fear coursed through me, I couldn't help but be filled with a sense of awe. I had never experienced anything like this before.
As I lay there, my body wracked with pain, I could see the glowing stream of venom flowing through my veins. It was like a river of fire, burning its way through my body. The venom was alive, pulsing and writhing with a life of its own.
Did the venom contain Qi ?
Was that why it was glowing ?
My thoughts were broken because of the pain that wracked my body.
Despite the agony, I couldn't take my eyes off the glowing river of poison. It was like watching a living organism, a creature that had taken up residence within my body. I could feel it moving, wriggling its way through my veins and arteries.
The venom of the creature was truly terrifying. It flowed through my blood vessels like a river, attacking every part of my body. It was as if fire had been poured over my nerves, and pieces of glass had been lodged into my internal organs. Despite the intense pain, I did not scream once. My whole body was so numb that I couldn't even move.
My eyes opened wide in extreme pain. I didn't know it, but some kind of liquid seemed to pour out of my eyes as if blood had burst all over and my eyes were the gateway for it to pour out. The venom had taken over my senses, and I was completely helpless in its grip.
As the poison attacked my body, the heat continued to intensify. It was as if someone had set me on fire from the inside out. My vision started to blur, and my ears were ringing. My body was on fire, and the pain was intense. I could feel my nerves being burned, my organs felt like they were being ripped apart.
I could hear the sound of my own labored breathing, and the sound of my heart beating erratically in my chest. The venom was coursing through my body, taking over my senses, and I knew that I was dying. I thought about my captor, the bandaged man, the one who had trapped me in this underground prison, and I vowed to myself that if I survived this, I would make him pay for what they had done to me.
As the glowing venom of the centipede took hold, I felt my body going limp, my vision fading to black. I knew that this could be the end for me, but I also knew that I would not go down without a fight.
The venom seemed to be targeting every single part of my body, my muscles were contracting and relaxing, and I could feel my body shaking uncontrollably. I was drowning in pain, and I could feel my body's movements slowing down. My breathing became shallow, and it was as if I was suffocating.
I could feel the venom spreading like a disease, my skin was starting to change color, turning an ominous shade of blue. My vision was getting darker by the second, and my body was getting weaker by the minute.
I was alone in the darkness, surrounded by nothing but the sound of my own pain. I could feel my body starting to shut down, my heart rate was dropping, and I knew that the end was near.
But even in my darkest moments, I refused to give up. I clenched my teeth, willing myself to fight against the venom that was attacking my body. The pain was almost too much to bear, but I gritted my teeth, refusing to let it defeat me.
The underground chamber was damp and dimly lit, with moss growing on the walls and a musty smell permeating the air. It was a place of despair, a place where hope went to die. But even in this place of darkness, I refused to give up. I was a survivor, and I would fight until my last breath.
I was lying on the cold, damp ground, my body curled up in a fetal position, my ragged breaths mixing with the musty air. My clothes, once tattered and dirty, were now stained with blood and sweat, clinging to my skin like a second layer. Every inch of my body felt like it was on fire, a searing pain that seemed to emanate from deep within my bones. I clutched my chest, where the pain was concentrated, my face contorted in a grimace.
I tried to scream, but no sound came out. My vocal cords were paralyzed by the pain, leaving me alone in my agony. The hours ticked by, and the pain only intensified. Every muscle and nerve in my body felt like it was being torn apart, as if my body was fighting a war against itself. I could feel my internal organs shutting down, one by one, and the darkness threatened to envelop me.
I could hear my heart pounding in my ears, its rhythm erratic and uneven. My breathing became shallow and ragged, as if I was drowning in my own pain. I closed my eyes, willing myself to pass out, but consciousness remained.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the numbness in my body began to dissipate. The heat in my chest dissipated, and I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I had somehow managed to survive the venom, but I knew that my body was damaged beyond repair.
With great effort, I began to move my limbs, the pain still radiating throughout my body with every movement. I slowly dragged my broken body towards the door, the sound of my movements echoing in the chamber. My eyes locked onto the plate of food, and I knew I needed to eat to survive.
Crawling like a centipede, I reached the plate and scooped up a handful of food, my hand shaking. The food was flavorless, but I didn't care. I had to survive.
As I ate, I whispered to myself, "I won't die. No matter what."
The words were a mantra, a promise to myself that I would not let this prison defeat me. My body was damaged, but I had triumphed over the venom that had glowed in my veins. I had won the battle, and I wouldn't let it defeat me.
With every bite, I could feel the energy returning to my body. My muscles began to twitch, and my breathing became stronger. The darkness that had threatened to envelop me began to recede, and I knew that I had a chance. I had survived the impossible, and now I had to find a way out of this hellhole.
••••••••••••••••••
[ Author Note : Fire Blood Centipede ]
[ Type: Monstrous Insect ]
[ Description:
The Fire Blood Centipede is a massive, carnivorous creature with a long, segmented body covered in shimmering scales of a bright red hue.
