Chapitre 26: Chapter 26 Viserys Anger

"Here this is for you, Don't attack other Dragon or people" she said as many large dead Bulls were pilled up for the Dragon to feast.

With her command, Qyraxis spewed out a small flame, burning the dead bulls and charring the meal. Each bull was swallowed whole in a single bite. Observing this, she realized she needed to acquire some other animals with more meat and a larger size, perhaps something like an elephant, to satisfy Qyraxis' appetite.

Deamon's ran all the way to Qyraxis and Valarissa, noticed the cruel and threatening green eyes looking at him, he paused, and swallowed subconsciously.

Qyraxis is indeed the strongest wild dragon and Maybe the largest living one after the fall of Valyria, not to mention its huge size and ferocious habits.

Just looking at the appearance can give people nightmares at night, whole body is as black as charcoal, without a trace of color and bloodthirsty and aloof temprament.

Feeling the Qyraxis hot breath even from afar, Deamon took a half step back to show that he meant no harm.

He looked at Valarissa beside the dragon's head with a proud smirk : "That's great, Valarissa, I thought something happened to you."

No one knew how worried he was, heck he even thought asking for a death penalty from his brother.

Valarissa walked towards Deamon with her chin raised high and said calmly: "I said I could tame an him and now I have done it!"

"Indeed, you have," Deamon mumbled to himself, glancing at the giant dragon outside the wall still focused on its meal.

"Don't let the dragon keepers or anyone get closer to him; it could be dangerous, and..." Before she could finish what she wanted to say, she fell unconscious.

Daemon reacted swiftly, catching her small body. His expression changed immediately as he looked at his wet arms, noticing a slight red color through the dark environment. His mood plummeted.

He picked up Valarissa and rushed back to the castle, instructing the guards to inform the maesters about Valarissa's condition. Before leaving, he didn't forget to warn everyone not to approach the dragon casually.

Inside Dragonstone castle, the maesters and maids were tending to Valarissa's injuries, cleaning them and applying medicine. Soon, the maesters emerged from the chamber.

Daemon, waiting outside with nervousness, had been on an emotional rollercoaster since bringing her in, realizing the consequences of his actions.

"Lord Daemon," an elderly maester called out to him as he was lost in thought.

"Yes! Ah, you're done! How is she? What's her current condition?" Daemon asked anxiously.

"About that, my lord, the Princess has many cuts all over her body, but thankfully, they aren't deep, only small skin wounds. However, the arms and legs have several serious burned areas, which are a bit serious and may leave marks. Additionally, she seems to have some small fractures in different places, but nothing life-threatening or crippling. The Princess will need a month of rest before she can leave the bed and is recommended to be fed with nutritious food during this time," the maester continued to explained in detail.

The more Daemon heard, the deeper his frown became. The only silver lining was the assurance that his niece wouldn't succumb to her death.

Daemon knew he couldn't keep the news from his brother for long, and the inevitable fury that would follow once King Viserys learned of his daughter's current situation was unavoidable.

Despite Daemon's strong-willed nature and clear ambition for the Iron Throne, his goal was never to overthrow his brother. Instead, he sought recognition and trust from his brother, even after being removed from the position of heir. His unwillingness to rebel stemmed from his desire to avoid harming his brother or niece.

When his niece became the heir, conflicting emotions arose within him. While he initially felt anger and a desire to take action which he could have with his dragon and the Golden clock at his cammand, he ultimately found himself unable to do anything that would harm his brother or niece.

Daemon was well aware that those loyal to his brother, especially the members of his small council, had been making secret moves, exploiting his brother's indecisiveness and eagerness for peace. There was a real possibility that, with some convincing sinister words, they might be able to channel his brother anger to send an army to capture him once he learned of his daughter's situation.

With all these conjectures giving him a headache, Daemon entered Valarissa's chamber. He observed some maids by her side, having changed her clothes to a breathable white loose attire, with her hands and legs covered in cloth bands like a mummy. The room was filled with the scent of medicine, slightly suffocating.

Approaching his peacefully sleeping niece, Daemon muttered, "Do you have any idea how much trouble you've caused me?"

Glancing at the innocent and slightly cute Valarissa, he contemplated the consequences he might face. Not wanting to disturb her rest, he didn't linger and went outside.

Heading straight to the maester, he ordered him to send a messenger to King's Landing, especially to his brother, informing him of what had transpired and about Valarissa's current condition before leaving the maester.

King's Landing, Throne Room.

Viserys sat on the Iron Throne, with a letter in his hand. Beside him was Rhaenyra Targaryen, and around the king stood four loyal Kingsguard. Below, Cerdic knelt with his head bowed, not daring to look at his king.

"Cerdic, when I appointed you as my daughter's teacher and personal guard, what did I ask of you?" Viserys questioned with a suppressed angry tone.

"Your Grace, you asked me to protect the princess with my life and be loyal to the Princess," Cerdic answered.

"And have you protected my daughter?" Viserys asked.

"Your Grace, I..." Cerdic didn't know how to reply. He had been occupied with all the tasks assigned to him by Valarissa, and when he came to the king in the afternoon with a message from Valarissa, things had become a mess.

After reading the message, the king sent soldiers to search for Valarissa inside and outside the keep and failed to find her. Now, Cerdic stood before the king, as he did not comprehending the contents of the letter he didn't what he did, but he understood one thing - the princess wasn't safe, or she was in an unfavorable situation. Without another alternative, he could only accept that he was wrong and brace for what to come.

Seeing Cerdic's silence and the letter's content, Viserys grew even angrier. "You will be staying in the dungeon , and after I find out what happened to my daughter, I will make sure you are properly punished," he declared angrily. "Guard, take him to the dungeons."

The guards took Cerdic, who didn't resist, with ease. Viserys handed the letter to Rhaenyra, as he sat their with an angry expression.
